Are all 2012's on hold until the 28th?

I have a buddy of mine who had his car hit port a few days ago and I told him about the hold up with emissions and such because his dealer had told him it was supposed to be here next week. I was wondering if all 2012's are being held until the 28th or have some released already? He had no idea and was disapointed obviously!

Interesting. Maybe it is because of emissions.

a few days ago and he's disappointed? my car has been at the VPC for 30 days already. Hopefully kmarei is right in that they got released today. I've been waiting too long.

It is all relative to your expectation. He was told it was to be here next week so he was anticipating that until I let him in on the emissions info. I am sure if he waits 30 days then yes in retrospect next week would not have been disapointing.

Mine was already on a boat here on the 9th or 10th of September and it arrived here on the 20-22th of September (I forget now when exactly it arrived). I expected to pick my car up at the end of September/first week of October (a couple other guys here were in similar situations as me). And now I have to wait until the first week of November for delivery. So, waiting a week is nothing. Especially when VPC takes anywhere from 2-14 days.

Oh and to put it in even greater perspective... I ordered my car the last week of July and I'm picking it up the first week of November. So ~14 weeks from order to delivery.

He told me today his car is showing that it is indeed at the VPC and already has a shippin company listed for his car. So I am guessing if it is at the vpc getting worked on than its not held up for emissions there and should be good to go this week.

I'm about the same, maybe more. I ordered my 2012 on 27/Aug, and have a build date start of 31/Oct-4/Nov ... Meaning I can likely expect it just before or after Christmas. :s

yea I was lucky and got my order in before a lot of people even knew about the 2012, so I didn't have to battle for a production slot

Im in the same situation. Placed my order on August 2nd. Still waiting.

Most annoying part about all this? Friends and family asking me the same question: "What's up with your car?"..lol

This is not good news for the ED'ers. Given that I am paying for the lease if when the car is at VPC... I would hope these get a priority.

There are no 2012 ED cars at US ports yet, so this doesn't even apply to them.. This is for people who's cars have been at the VPC over a month now.
