If you find out lemme know. I was going to do that and highflow cats one of these days but just seem too busy. Might be worth a small price to have it done.

I'm in the woodlands but wouldn't mind traveling any where in the houston area if i could find a shop that did it already, and therefore knew what they were doing. It might be a pain in the ass trying to explain it all to some random shop but it might be a last resort...

irish77380 - I'm in the woodlands too and I'm pretty sure that I've seen your car at market street before. Small world - We need to find the other woodlands people and have a north side meet.
As for your exhaust - Talk to Steve Ott @ http://blog.driversource.com

Yea, easy if you have welding gear and shit to prop the car up with to get underneath. Cheaper to get a shop to do it...

I have a black texas star plate.
Drivers Source should be able to take care of it. I almost always do my own work but I don't have a welder.

Have you considered just buying a new or used catback? If you hack your OEM system then you would need to buy another one if you ever sell the car to someone that doesn't 'get' the gutted exhaust.

Yea, was thinking about Megan Racing (because under a grand). But same still applies if I sold the car to someone who dosent 'get' the Megan Racing exhaust. Kinda screwed either way.

I don't see how.. You would just swap the OEM exhaust back on and then sell the megan.
You'll lose about as much or less on reselling the megan as you will spend modifying your OEM system and then buying a replacement AND you'll have a better system. Plus the catback can be installed with a floor jack and just a couple of tools.

Maybe I might end up selling the car to someone who 'got' the modded OEM exhaust?? Anyway, no plans on selling the M3 anytime soon.

I have a couple of welders and have knowledge/ know people with more knowledge and have a lift but it's more about finding the time to get all this stuff done.
I was also going to gut the rear cat and welding some Pace Setters in place of the front cats. |

I just heard back from Steve at Driversource, they are interested in doing it using mine as the guinea pig! :-) He estimates about 2-3 hours work maybe involved.

Not sure what their hourly rate is, steve hasnt replied yet. Hoping it would be less. Not much more for a megan racing muffler...
