Question Good deal?

Pulled the trigger. SA is a very good friend of mine and he's a BMW mechanic. Just quoted me this for 2010 e92 m3:

Alpine White w/ Fox Red w/ CF trim
Premium Pack
Tech Pack
Cold Weather Pack
19" forged wheels
Enhanced Speakers
Anti-theft alarm
rear parking sensor
ipod & usb adapter
satellite radio

plus destination & gas guzzler tax the MSRP was $70650. Gave me 3k off so around $67000. Looking at CARS.com it seems like Invoice price is around $65500. I guess 2k over invoice for 2010 is not bad???

You should be able to negotiate $400-800 over invoice.

Yes. Car dealer = trusted friend. More myth than reality.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but how do you know this? On a 2010, I have my doubts--a 2009, yeah sure. These cars are no longer in abundance, and dealers are not keeping very many in stock. I'm sure many dealers are quite willing to sit on their 2010s at this point and not let them go at invoice.

Quotes from 3 dealers. Of course they started off at MSRP.

Also do a search for David Aviles.

I'm familiar with David and Russell BMW, as I live 20 miles away. I was asking about that price on a 2010 in dealer stock, which have just arrived on these shores.

I'm aware you can order one and wait for a number of months from David.

i got my car 400 over invoice, it is 2010 e92 order. you should be able to get better price. contact couple other dealers. they are trying like crazy to beat the others price... If one tells you 65.5 you call the other one and say you have an offer for 65 flat + floormats, see what you get

e92 2010
DTC
Cold package
Premium Pack
Tech Pach
Nav
ipod
park sensor
rear power sunshade
19" wheels
metailc paint
destination charge
+ 3% tax + fees & tags

I just pulled trigger as well. I ordered my 2010 AW/FR E90 for $850 over invoice with no questions asked. Makes me think I could've done better but I am happy with deal. First BMW and I am beyond excited. Doing the Performance Center Delivery as I am only about 45 min from Greenville SC. Dealer says production on 2010 M3 is going to much lower than 09, for what thats worth.

I hope to join you soon. I'm almost there. Just test driving a used 911 turbo and a C63 over the weekend to make sure I don't want to go that route.

I also think you can do significantly better than $2K over invoice for a car that is sitting on his lot when sales of luxury cars (inc BMWs) are down so sharply. Remember, he needs to move that specific car more than you need to buy it-there are lots of 2010s out there. Good luck!

I got $750 over invoice + M3 floormats on an ordered E90. How "good" is this friend?
