Less Weight More Power = Akrapovic Evolution

Quality: Once again we were really impressed with the incredible quality that Akrapovic delivers.

Installation: Each system comes with everything you need to install it which makes installation process a piece of cake !

Weight: Exhaust systems are so light, that you can literally lift it with one finger. The weight of each muffler is only 10.5 lbs . The x-pipe with resonators and cats weights only 11.5 lbs and each straight pipe is only 2.5 lbs.

Sound: Deep, exotic with no drone. Slip-On system passes 92db sound check. Evolution system will be tested in 2-3 weeks.

Power: The fun part. After installing the full system, you don't need to dyno your car to verify the power increase. All what you need to do is step on the gas and smile. The car feels so much lighter and it jumps from the start.

Recommended: We would like to recommend you to install Thermo-Tec Clamp On Exhaust Heat Shields to prevent possible damage to the rear axle boots.

Factory system is off the car:

Very nice. Do you think a heatshield on the connecting pipes is really necessary?

Loving my new Akra slip-on section combined with a Fabspeed x-pipe and HFC's. Really sounds amazing. Big thanks to Alekshop on their great customer service getting me my new system. I'm going to try and get some vids up soon. I'm not sure how it sounds compared to full Akra, since I've never heard one, but I imagine it's close. Louder than I expected based on reviews I've read here, but that's a good thing because I was slightly worried it would be just a bit too quiet.

Here is a video of Evolution System on E92 M3 versus Slip-On system on E90 M3.

As you can see the Evolution system is a bit louder but not by much.

In that clip I like the slip-on on the E90 better.

In that clip, the full exhaust sounds richer with a higher pitch compared to the deeper tone of the slip-on.

It sounded ricier to me, not richer. When i think richer I'm thinking Ferrari/Lambo/Maserati and those aren't that high pitched.

But that's also why they have more than one option, different strokes.

Thanks for the side-by-side comparison. Currently have the slip-on but next step is to add the HFC's. Also, I did a DIY polish on just the ending lip of each tip and I really like the effect. Would have been extremely time-consuming to have polished out the complete tip, but most of it is not visible after installation anyway. Don't know if it will show up that well in photos, but will post some later.........

Both sound awesome! But the slip on is way quiet on full acceleration, You have to hear the full evolution in person! it makes the slip on sound like stock!

I have the Evo system now installed with 200cpsi cats since 2.000km. It sounds less raspy and somewhat richer. I like the sound and also get a lot of compliments for the "new tone" from people who know the 100cpsi sound from before (which already is unique).

Are these still prototypes? Do they reduce the dip btw 2,500 and 3,000rpm?

I was actually surprised at just how loud this system is.... Well at least my combo of the Akra/Fabspeed. Everyone talks about it just barely being louder than stock so why bother.... Well it's definitely louder than stock. Not nearly as loud as my AA/Fabspeed was. But it sounds great. The nice thing is is makes some noise when you step on it, but the minute you let off and just cruise it's very mellow. It really sounds nice though, very refined sound.

The car is just about to be broken in, so I did not dyno it yet.

No it doesn't come with heat shields from Akrapovic ... We are using thermo-tec shields ...
