Sport Edition A7s on JB e92
Just mounted my A7 winters this morning. We got our first snowfall here yesterday, so I figured that it was finally time to put them on. I went through Ben @ Tirerack. Here is the setup:
18x8 Fronts on Dunlop Winter Sport 3D 235/40 18x9 Rears on Dunlop Winter Sport 3D 245/40 I was previously unsure of the M3's centerbore, but confirmed today that it is indeed 72.56mm (as many of you told me). I'm happy with the winter setup. There is obviously a noticeable loss in handling, and there is increased tire noise and vibration at higher speeds. Nonetheless, the 19"s were like hockey pucks on the way to the lift this morning, so having winters on the car is a big relief! Enjoy the pics, I'm sure most of you needing winters have already made a purchase, but this will let you know whether you like this style on the M3. I know that winters aren't about looks, but I personally think that this combo is a pretty good one for a winter setup. |

My own M3 went to winter restore yesterday. It's already quite cold around here and snowstorm is coming this evening. The ride wasn't the easiest I'v done, about 15 km on glazing icy roads to survive with PS2s. Fortunately everything went fine, tomorrow I'll fix the car after the thick ice and snow is melted away in warm carhouse. By the way, here's a photo of my car (right IB) and couple friends' machine when we were invited to drive Audis a week ago. JB E93 has EOM winter set-up sold by BMW.

Remember to rinse off the undercarriage at least 2x a week. My M3 is sitting this one out.

yeah, i figure i'll take it to the power washer to spray the undercarraige on M-W-F after work. the salt can be pretty nasty. either way, no problems with the 335i in the winter, so she'll be okay
