A beautifully and brilliantly presented sets of tests.

You are the first company that I have come accross on the forums where I have to say..... I am seriously impressed!

What I really like is that every car has consitent power as stock and it's in the right range if you compare to so many other dyno tested cars on a dyno jet when stock.
Not the first few low runs either which is so commonly seen from other tuners where run no 1 -3 is typically used to show a low baseline. Here we are seeing proper high baseline figures.

Then, the shape of the curves are proper too with peak power occuring at the correct places with completely natural shapes.

The gains are directly inline with what many tuners get from the Akrapovic or pretty much any full exhaust which removes the primary CAT's.

Very good point on the secondary decat where you can get a power dip but to really talk about this we need to see the ignition and AFR plots.

I have seen intakes work before but this one is working a little better than I have seen. Might have to test this over here to be convinced but given your style and other posts I doubt I will see any difference.

Keep up the good work and great to see someone who takes tuning seriously and doesn't just look at it from a $$$$$ point of view!

thats the exact set up Im considering... MS Stage 2 Intake, MS UDP and Akra Evo.... but what about a tune? I am considering getting the ESS tune. Do you think you'll get a tune on that mineral white one anytime soon so we can see those mods with a tune?

I think EAS does in-house GIAC tuning, right? I'd actually be really curious about the results of a GIAC tune on top of all of this, since we don't see too many GIAC dyno graphs.

They should dyno both of these car with Evolve, AA, ESS and Dinan tunes each on both cars. That would be some sick shit to see. Ok I will wake up now.

I would purchase the MS kit if it weren't for those god awful old english raised letters on the charge pipe. Would have to sand down and repaint.

That's the selling point of the AFE kit.

Do MS owners notice the drone the afe people talk about from the induction kit at low revs?

Been very happy with mine, have not heard of similar reports from other MS-equipped M3s of this.

Here's a quick interior sound clip for reference:

M3Roar was kind enough to supply footage of his MS Stage 2 intake at the track as well for those on the outside:

The sound from the intake is both exotic and intoxicating.

If those companies would like to provide tunes, we will be more happy to dyno and provide results.

So it is louder then just scoops + filter. Interesting.

I just wish they'd leave the pipe alone for insignia.

My car is the one in the track Video.... the camera was quite a distance from the track and on an upper observation deck... I have not installed the scoops yet so what your hearing is filter with charge boot.

Tom,

The dyno charts for the mineral white car have been removed. We get a broken link. Can you please repost them?

Any ideas which exhausts were mated to these cars? Sounds great....from engine to exhaust!

You would need to PM M3Roar to confirm, as he was the one who posted the video.

I didnt have an exhaust in that video. It was a bone stock e92 with MS stage 2. My intake sound was louder than the ESS SCed M3 behind me. But his exhaust tone comes from his Akra Evo exhaust.

UPDATE
I am now running the MS Stage 2 Intake with ESS Tune and Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust. The sound is even better. Both from the intake and the exhaust. They really work well together AND they sound crazy under full throttle. The intake almost sounds like velocity stacks instead of just an intake. The ESS tune brings it all together very nicely. With factory tires I ran one of the fastest lap times of my group which included a ZO6 vette and a host of much more modified M3s and such.

What a sound!! That alone would lend me to a purchase.

Honestly, we buy a lot of useless crap for our cars like CF spoilers and Mirror covers ( soon for me haha ). BUT even if the MS stage 2 gives just 2 HP ( not even calculable ) its worth every penny in sound. I will get a video up soon for you guys. I also want to do the MS Pulleys and dyno it since the 2 white cars dynoed in this post dont have tunes at all.

I still don't see any data on full intake vs drop-in alone on two otherwise identically equipped cars. Or did I miss it? Sorry if I did. It would be even better to see full intake vs. drop-in alone on two otherwise completely stock cars also.
