I don't care as long as whatever team Lebron is on doesn't win...

LeBron played like absolute garbage. The rest of the team didn't do much better. And unforunately Boston was not a team that he could beat alone.

I still don't feel in my gut that he's leaving.

It sure is. A dismantled, ruined franchise that spent 2 seasons blowing up an already shitty team for a BIG FAT CHANCE and getting Lebron. Problem is Lebron isn't going to NY, what do you people not understand that he loves the city and likes the idea of the arena and team. Not so much about starting over. The better peices are already in place in Cleveland or even Chicago. The talk of a NY team including LBJ, Wade and Bosh or any combo of the 2 is just stupid. Their not going to take less money, don't forget this is a business.

Hah... He is not staying in cleveland. The best part of last nights game was Lebron at the foul line and the crowd screaming, "NEW YORK KNICKS!" Don't too much too soon, you have a long off season and wouldn't want you to get dehydrated.

Hmmm... so what sport are you going to watch now? Surely you aren't an indians fan...

IF he were to stay in cleveland, (and that's a big "if") he would be committing career suicide. BTW, this "blown up" NYK team... is in the EXACT same shape the Celtics were in just a few years ago before they built the team that embarrassed yours last night.

I can see him going to Chicago but he definitely will not stay in Cleveland. Those pieces they have there only works in the regular season. 2 years in a row those players choked when it mattered most. He needs to get the hell out of there. He can't carry them anymore.

I don't think James will stay in Cleveland. They've had season after season to provide him with a proper supporting cast, and now coming up on such a big free agency market they don't have enough cap space to sign a Bosh or Joe Johnson and keep Lebron.

In the end money talks loudest, and there are a few franchises out there that can pay him and have "pieces in place" to borrow a phrase from a previous poster. NY can probably pay him the most, and Chicago can pay him competitively and keep Derrick Rose and Noah. I'd love for him to come here, but I'm not holding my breath for too long on that one.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

NBA's pay system is not like MLB. Lebron can make more money by staying with the Cavs. (From merely a salary stand point)

It is a strange salary system designed to protect the owners.

Lebron should definitely go to Chicago. Would be pointless to go to Knicks and start from scratch. Chicago already has some talented players such as Rose, Heinrich, and Noah.

Another thought is Lebron should be with Bosh or Wade. Someone that actually has championship experience. (wade)

It's a hard cap, no?

If Lebron would stay in Cleveland they don't have enough money on expiring contracts to attract a big free agent name. They would basically be spending at least his expiring contract on resigning him, most likely significantly more. I don't know how much other expiring money they have, but Shaq can't be cheap, nor Williams, etc.

That's why New York got Tracy McGrady, because he has a huge contract and it expires this season, thus free up that money to spend on free agents. Chicago made a similar move on a few players as well...to free up money at the end of this season to spend on big free agents.

At least that's my understanding of the situation, maybe I'm mistaken

Magic is not doing too well. So much for the unbeaten record in playoff so far.

For those Lakers fans, would you guys prefer them to face Magic or Celtics?

That's a no brainer question.

Everyone wants to see Lakers vs. Celtics and I bet the NBA will try anyway possible to make it happen. There's nothing to see if the magic make it again while the Celtics create so many subplots, storylines and history.

But if you were the Lakers, wouldn't you want to face Magic instead? Their chance of winning doesn't seem too great against the Celtics.

I think the Magic will be easier, but I want revenge, so I want to see the Celtics in the finals.

Yup. To me, they look like the best team right now in the playoffs. Rondo is beasting, KG is back, and their defense is elite again.
