I've been running mine as daily tires for about 1 month. My plan was to run them for a couple of weeks to put some heat in them and then shelf them until the next track day. The noise is there but not horrible. The gas mileage hasn't change between these and my daily set up.........Phil

I got mine last week but I can't find the date stamp. Where is it? I've looked everywhere on the sidewall.

Does anyone know if you can run 285/35/18 in the front on stock ZCP suspension? I'm tempted to get a square set for my 18x10 setup.

It will usually only be on one sidewall, and it's in an oval with flat sides with four numbers in it, about 3/4" long. Date code 2012, for instance, would mean the 20th week of 2012

You can probably make it fit but you'll need to be ready to replace fender liners, it's a little too tall for the width

Anyone else got their set and mind sharing their manufacture date? I got my set delivered to the installer at the boarder, heading down on Friday. I'll post the manufacture date after I find out.

Thank you. Mine are 2610 as well.

I'm a little confused though. Last year these tires were on national back order. Wouldn't that mean they were sold out? In which case, why are there, all of a sudden, a pile of 3 year old tires on closeout?

Lol...true. I tried to buy RS3s in Korea when I was stationed there. They cost twice as much.

Not really.....how many non-enthusiast buy tires with no idea they have a date on them. Plus after a view heat cycles the date won't matter......especially for a track tire..............Phil

Probably a lot but these aren't non-enthusiast tires, and almost every purchaser will know. Seems like most tires in this category go the other way on production and sell out rather easily not stack up for 3 years. That is what I meant. Shouldn't be an issue of shelf life as long as not in too cold of storage.

Hankook plays the "Sony" marketing game.........produce limited numbers.....sell out and give the consumer the idea that the product is all that because it's never in stock. Then unload a large amount later for a great looking deal.......Phil

In 17s, the RS3s are cheaper than the rest. Not much of a price advantage in the 18s. Plus, I think the RS3s don't like the heavy cars. Mine lasted 3 track days and 5k miles. And the pressure creep was up to 14psi...which supports my guess.

The key is tire storage. Cool, dry place out of sunlight. These are priced low because they are getting to the end of their shelf life. Where did they come from? Who knows.

I've never noticed a marketing game as far as supply. Most buy the common tuner sizes which aren't on sale (205/225/245/255/275). These tires are sh1t for pure street/DD use so I'm sure it's purely tires that have been just sitting.

Hankook is just realizing that their 140UTQG rating severely limits sales to chump racers and auto-x'ers...guys that go through a lot of tires.

The RS3's are a great value compared to the other nutty street tires if all you care about is dry performance in warm weather
