I don't think you need the CW package for the rear fold down seats. Mine folds down without it.

that's not what i'm saying
my seats do not fold down... therefore I definitely don't have Cold Weather package

This reminds me of "converse" "inverse" etc.

A = cold weather package
B = seat folds down

If A, then B
if not B, then not A

if B ... does not necessarily mean A

something like that

You got it!

CWP includes everything in your screenshot above - heated front seats, folding rear seats, and headlight washers. You could however purchase heated seats and/or folding rears as standalone options. Only way to get the headlight washers was to purchase the whole CWP.

The standalone options are popular as many don't like the headlight washers on the front bumper, and some even code them off.

Just look for the headlight washers to determine CWP. It's not that complicated.

Purchased my car as used Certified in Germany. It is a North American Spec car. I watched the price come down from $54K to $51K and jumped on the deal. I drive this car everyday and LOVE IT!!!!

I know my situation is different but here in Germany prices seem to reflect a higher price point than back in the US.
Prices are for sure way different here in Germany. Watched the E92s for 2 years now, and the prices have even gone quite a bit up from 2017.

So pulled the trigger on mine:

'08 E92 M3 - Italian Car
3 Owners before me
86k Kilometers
Alpine White
Fox red interior
Driver's Package
EDC
DCT
Rod bearings already changed at 75k Kilometers, BMC Airfilter, BMW Performance Brakepads, Original 359M 19" Wheels, Winter Tires on 18" Original BMW Wheels, Upgraded Exhaust
@30,000.00 EUR

However, the history of the car was legit and the car was the cheapest with this mileage. Even higher mileage was not really cheaper.

Thanks, I did well.

I was in no rush, little patience for the right buyer - hell I only needed one.

Had few kids trying to buy the car and tell me you'll be lucky to get $30K, it's an 08', check Car Gurus blah blah

Goes to show there are enthusiasts out there who are willing to pay a little premium for a low mileage, non-molested OEM car.

My 6spd M3 was a great car, now time to enjoy my DCT M4

i checked out 2 2008 e90m3 in 6MT locally around LA
but both of them just didn't convince me
something was lacking
even though one had less than 50k miles ... the car just seem like it was taken care of
the other one had higher miles and had some mods

saw a very clean stock e90m3 listed in SF and exchanged emails with the seller
flew up, bought it, and drove it down

it's been about a month since i bought the car
i just searched online yesterday and those 2 cars in LA i saw are still listed for sale
so it gives me reassurance that i made the right choice in skipping over them

Just picked up my E92 a few weeks ago. Been meaning to get on here to share.

paid $36k
20,200 miles
2010 Alpine White with extended Platinum interior.
6MT (was a must for me)
Carbon roof (another must for me)
Premium Package
Tech Package

So long story short I was looking for a few months and lost out on a few cars. I really was looking 11'-13' with ZCP but with decent miles (below 40k miles but up to 50k would have been ok) and carbon roof + 6MT, it was slim pickins for me in the mid 30's. I knew I would need to come up a little budget wise to get a car, especially 6MT with Carbon roof. This car came up here on the forum and I jumped on it. Sure, not ZCP but already purchased the wheels from another member a week ago for $800. I'll need to get those cleaned and some curbage fixed before they go on. Anyways, wasn't looking for a 08' (old clutch and iDrive), and the 09' and 10' were only if the car was in good shape at the right price so with the miles as low as they were I said screw the ZCP and jumped on it. I'm ok with the pre-LCI tail lights so if I end up changing them, it won't be for a while until I can get other things done.

Car was located in Seattle so flew up to buy it Saturday morning, drove it 12 hours on Saturday down the 5 freeway through Washington and Oregon, stopped for the night in Sacramento, then another 6 hours to get her home Sunday. Here are some pics:

the dealer i spoke to specializes in european cars/m3's - says he doesn't touch the f80s anymore. they may be fast but they are apparently a reliability nightmare after 50k

I would wager the biggest and potentially hidden issue in buying a used F8x is heavy modding by the prior owner(s); cranking up boost, downpipes, etc, that is all removed prior to being sold. Nothing like dealing with a higher mileage engine that's been boosted near death in its early life....not to mention clutches, driveline, etc, also. Also note that the first thing to do when considering an F8x that is still under the factory is to contact BMW to ensure the car hasn't been warranty flagged -- many apparently have been.

Yep. Then they're sold as "all stock"!
