Mods before the car plus a side project continues...
I have been on this site for quite awhile checking out everyones mods, all the sponsors project cars, and generally picking and immersing myself into all the details about the E90 M3 as possible. The great thing is that I actually had an E90 M3 (2008) for about a year and a half and loved the machine and all it had to offer but let it go in order to build out the first floor of our house. Luckily a great guy took it over and I get to see her every once in awhile because Eric is local. (AKA Classic6)
Once I let the E90 go I went back to my roots and bought an IB E46 M3 that was nicely modified but as usual that was not good enough for me! Upon delivery of the car promptly removed his GruppeM exhaust and his BBK and installed my own Eisennman race, BBK, studs, caps, wheels, SS headers, high flow cats, Evolve airbox, tune and a few other tidbits. In that time I have installed a front lip, CSL trunk and changed the color of the accent pieces on the car to GT3 RS orange and currently updating the CSL diffuser and adding a moderate splitter to the mix. I am also getting rid of the DPE wheels and going back to OEM with the CSL wheels but had them finished in gloss black, replaced the old OEM BMW center caps with custom black and silver BBS caps, BBS stems, and they will sport BBS orange decals to pick up the BBK. They are still in the shop and I'll be posting before and after pics of the E46 M3 alongside the E90 M3 modding journey that began two months ago.... The V8 of the E9X M3 platform has never left my heart so upon learning that #2 (child) was on the way spoke to the wife about getting into another E90 M3 as the nice go around family vehicle. Jennifer was on board and from that point on I started getting mods together. First I would like to thank the following sponsors and people for their help so far! Aleks from AleksShop for the Akra slip on, advice, and information Sal from Auto Coutoure for the Akra X-pipe to finish the Akra set up Jim for the amazing all CF Arkym bumper Greg from Challenge/GT for the amazing matching "unicorn" diffuser Joey for the set of BBS AMuse offset LM-Rs in near perfect condition The team from ModeCarbon for the splitter that will provide some "flair" to the Arkym bumper I will add pics as I progress with more mods and update the pics as I get better light and time to do so. I don't have pics of the diffuser yet since it is at my house and I simply lost out on time the other day. I was lucky to get to my buddy Shane's house to take the pics I did since my #1 little man (Ethan) takes up almost all my time when I am not working! He was very eager to check out the "toys" and help showcase some of the mods! He is already into cars and even goes "oooooooooohhhhhhh" when I showed him a video of what the car would sound like! Intended modifications to follow are BBK, tune of course, suspension, mode carbon 1x1 deck spoiler (to match all the other 1x1 pieces), competition e-brake handle, tri-color stitched e-brake and shifter, and some kind of pedal set but somewhat reluctant to hurry and purchase them at this point because I am hoping I can find a clean E90 M3 here but have my sights loaded on several places that specialize in clean examples of what I am looking for. The E46 M3 will continue getting small mods here and there and I'll update those pics as I go along. Largest mod I want to get for the car are Recaro CS with orange stitching to pick up on the steering wheel, e-brake, and shifter boots. On to the pics! MODS in hand so far: (* NEW MOD) BBS LM-R wheels 20" - Amuse offsets/tires 1x1 full CF Arkym race bumper ModeCarbon GT4 1x1 weave extension splitter Akrapovic EVO titanium exhaust system 1x1 Challenge diffuser IND - ///M Motorsport e-brake handle Rennline full pedal set including foot rest and heel/toe extension set in red Ohlins DFV Road and Track coil-over system Vorshlag camber plates Authentic BBS center caps - 1x1 CF with silver lettering (*) Authentic BBS wheel caps in red (*) MODS wanted: BBK BMW Motorsport rear spoiler Frank Smith tune F10 M5 illuminated knob mod (*) Re-barrel of rear LM-Rs to larger size (11"), chromed lips, brushed faces (*)

Thanks for sharing. I remember reading your build journal for the E46 on another forum, always loved that car. Can't wait to see how the E90 turns out, that's an awesome combo.

DEMON I know you like to go nuts with your builds... why not just get yourself the cheapest E90 M3 (08-09) with less than 50k miles. There are a few examples out there for $35,000. Get sick and paint it an Individual BMW color.

Yup...I know what I want and where I am going so it just makes sense! huh? I got these from JWC (Joey) although I did PM you...or are you just saying these are like yours? I assume you sold your set? Honestly this is the best wheel for this car but I am biased! Thanks! *UPDATE* Here are the custom BBS center caps for the E46 M3 CSL wheels.
