Well that's fucking lame.

At this point I've received everything from Dave in a timely fashion. It will be interesting to see how my order progresses.

Did you ever get your M3?

[QUOTE=sunsweet;12397340]I have to respectfully fully disagree with you. you see, I contacted David Aviles in April 2011 to order an individual M3. Actually I had contacted him a few years before in 2009 to order a Dakkar yellow individual paint M3. In 2009 bmw refused to sell me that color and I thought i would try again a few years later. This time however David told me on April 30th :"I heard from Individual tis morning. They confirmed I will be able to order Dakar Yellow for you. ".............

I have done 5 EDs and going for my 6th in Sept. and I have never encounter a situation like yours because I understand the whole process and also know that thing can change by the minute with BMW. It seems to me that you were not willing to accept the fact that BMW have changed the price and blame David Aviles for not honoring the previous quote. I sell insurance for a living and if any of the companies change pricing on a policy at the last minute I am not going to be responsible for adjusting or honoring a previious quote, the same way that David Aviles shouldn't. I can see this as a situation were you didn't make up your mind and David needed to sell your car. I know him and I doubt that he was not willing to accommodate you. He is a straight shooter and I don't think he is the second European Delivery salesman in the country by screwing people around.

BMW changed pricing, and you changed your mind about the interior, I don't see how this is David's fault... You also got caught in the middle of the ED allocation policy change, which is just unfortunately..... bad luck!

I am picking up my M3 this week from David, and the whole ED process was flawless (except for one little paper work snafu from BMWNA, which they quickly sorted out, but I wouldn't blame David for that!) I hate, hate, HATE, the runaround and other BS you normally get when buying a car. This transaction with David was the complete opposite... I had my car ordered with just a couple of emails.

I already have, and will continue to recommend David to anyone looking to purchase a BMW.

man this really blows. I was all ready to order my E92 with an individual exterior and interior, but once I found out they are cutting the euro invoice, I completely scrapped the order.

BMW is going to lose a lot of customers as a whole because of this.

Does anyone know if the new M3s and M4s in 2015 will no longer be eligible for Euro invoice as well due to allocations? That would truly be tragic.

I doubt they are going to lose a lot of customers over this. Very few people know about or take advantage of Euro Delivery. Also people can still do euro delivery and get the standard 7% discount, it's just going to be harder to get any additional discounts from the dealer beyond that because it's coming out of their own allocation. It's only the on-line forum community that has any idea that some dealers were offering euro delivery at close to invoice, and most of the community isn't doing euro delivery of ///M cars, so I don't see BMW losing tons of customers. Sorry you decided to cancel your order.

No problems getting October ED

My dealer obtained a production number for an early October ED very quickly; matter of maybe 2 days. This was done a couple weeks ago.

Thanks for taking it literally. In the grand scheme of things I'm sure they won't lose enough to even concern them, but again thanks for the ... analysis and statement of the obvious.

I'm still upset and won't be paying ED MSRP, which is the exact same as US invoice. I have plenty of places willing to do a few hundred over invoice, but now I can't get the color ext and int I initially wanted due to the price hike.

I ordered mine in January just before the price increase (on the 5th I think),
David and I had already agreed on a price and everything. In March, I
added the Extended Leather option. When I received the new PO I noticed
that the price had gone up slightly. I talked to David and he explained to me that
somehow my order date got reset to March, thus taking the 2012 base price.

I was like... no biggie... and everything went well... I was not going to
jeopardize my order over a couple of hundred bucks.

Those things happen...

I ordered my car for ED in November before the price increase but added BMW apps and the competition package after the price increase and when I came to pay, my dealer sterling BMW honored our original price or $600 over the pre-jan price or $380 over the post-jan price. My CA said that the dealer would get compensation for the change from BMW since I ordered in November.

If you have places willing to do a couple of hundred over US invoice (using their own allocation), why wouldn't they offer a similar deal (plus a few hundred for the extra effort) for euro delivery since it's still available, but requires their allocation which they have already offered to you. It's the same profit to the dealer

I think that is because ED sales don't qualify for 'back end' money from BMWUSA.
Therefore, if the unit has to come out of their allocation anyway, they rather make it a local sale vs ED so that they reap the most benefit on the back end.

For ED they are offering the same price, but it's ED MSRP (Which is basically US Invoice).

It's not worth the trip anymore. I wasn't going out there because I really wanted to, I was just going to make a vacation out of it for the gf and I if it saved me money to offset the plane tickets and expenses. That factor is gone, so i'm just getting it delivered here.

so my dream of ordering new M3 seems to vanish

I was already about to put an order in, when I was told there has been a change in price due to allocation changes

I'm just so upset
I wanted to oder in May/early June, which seems that it was still possible, .. but I wasn't sure with my budget since I had big holiday coming (traveling around US and then to Europe) so I wanted to play it safe and waited with the order till now ... and now the price went up quite significantly

no more ED that's for sure ... and will see if I can afford US delivery .. but it's bit out of the budget .. :-/

I also think that the problem is high demand, production is coming to an end and people, including myself, want last NA V8 M3

If you account for the plane ticket, which is usually about $1,000, the price went up about ~$2000 (give or take). Not TOO bad... this is a fully loaded M3 ED MSRP vs. US Invoice

I sure hope they bring the discount back for M models.....

ED is the only way I would buy a BMW.
