Found it off some blog - supposedly Trump asked the waiter what his biggest tip was - and he said $500...so Trump just wanted to be a smartass I guess..good for the waiter - but can you imagine if you have to pool tips - ouch.

he might have done it for publicity... a kind thing to do though. I heard he paid off the mortgage of a good samaritan that helped him when his limo broke down. The guy was out of work and didn't ask for anything...

In some places, when you tip on a credit card, the total is put in a pot which is divided equally. If that's the case, that would suck for the waiter.

Actually, I was suprised when I saw the $10,000 tip but, then I realized, the tip was left by a multi-billionaire.

$5.00 for tea in LA isn't unlikely. A $10,000 tip is.

now the media is saying this was a publicity stunt by the restaurant. Trump is claiming he was never there and was not in Calif during this time. So it unknown at this point, since I think if they did fake this Trump would be ripping them a new one right about now.
