I'm looking forward to going there. I expect it to be fun. Also, feel free to call me "Tom." haha. BTW, that "H2" thing, it's from the button on the steering wheel from that other bimmer I got to drive for awhile. Also, I was at the BMFEAST meet today -- got to see 4 LSB E46 M3's and a few PY and Estoril Blue cars.

Except I don't do PCD until Nov 21. So it will be sitting in South Carolina for a little while.

Wow! That's awesome!
I can't wait to see the finished result! Will, do you know - or have you heard if BMW will introduce some new leather choices perhaps for the next MY?

I was thinking that also! But looking at some other recent threads, there appears to be a source for clear reflectors.

Will - when I ordered my E90 I was told there was no trim individual program available for M3 as the volume does not justify it. Over here we can order pretty much any individual paint for an M3.

I am touring Regensburg tomorrow and I am going to search the entire lot to see if your M3 is somewhere in the yard awaiting transportation. If it is in Bremerhaven it will be too late, but if I see it out there I have a D80 with a 18-200 VR and I'll get some "spyshots!"

Will - Two Questions for you:
1) How much longer does it take for this paint process. I use to work at BMW at it added about 4-6 additional weeks. 2) Could Brilliant White be ordered for a US E9x M3 |

I don't know about colors. The process is very long-winded. I have to email my contact at BMW NA - who forwards the email two or three times to Germany - who then forwards two or three times to me to find out if the color can be done or not. Colors that can not be done that I have found out through this process: Kylami Orange, Techno Violet, Estoril Blue. A few others but I forgot them. I am not going to play a guessing game for customers though - so I will only proceed for customers that are very serious. With that being said, 6 "serious" customers have had me check for them - none have purchased edit: I do know Moonstone is available! |
