Dynapack Dyno Results
I decided to go to a local shop and get some dyno runs for my e93 M3. They tested my car in 5th gear and I was not pleased with the results. So I PM’d Robert (PencilGeek) and told him to take a look at the charts. I am still new to this and did not know a 6MT m3 should be tested in 3rd gear. Robert is a great guy and went out of his way to help me. He also created the chart layouts below. Thanks Robert!
The first part I installed was the the Akrapovic Evolution. I love the sound and I could notice the hp gain right away. I LOVE this system! Then I added the AA tune. There was maybe a little hp gain that you can actually feel, but I could definitely tell the car felt smoother. Next, I added the the AA pulley. I felt a little more pull on the higher rpms for sure. Finally I added a BMC filter and I could not feel any gains while driving. I dynoed every install step individually but, they all were in 5th gear. Overall, I am very pleased with the turn out. I guess next step is a SC if I decide to keep the car. 3rd Gear: SAE Corrected: 369whp @ 8100 RPM, 272wtq @ 5755 RPM STD Corrected: 379whp, 280wtq Uncorrected: 374whp, 276wtq 5th gear rwhp were: SAE Corrected: 340rwhp STD Corrected: 350rwhp Uncorrected: 344rwhp Car and Modifications:

Individual dyno results are shown below. SAE corrected, STD corrected, and Uncorrected. The legend below has the following meaning:

Your numbers aren't bad at all, you made a good amount of torque. I dyno'd my car in 5th as it is 1:1, my car bone stock on a dynojet did 346 with 93 octane almost 260 ft/lbs of tq. with only 2k miles on the clock. I think you only dyno a DCT car in 3rd, why would you dyno a 6MT car in 3rd? It would either be 4th or 5th.
With your mods you gained 30rwhp which is pretty much right where you should be at. I wouldn't sweat it. All I pretty much expect out of similar mods is about 30-35rwhp. My dyno sheet, its a dynojet that has SAE correction. Dave

Well here is the difference in 3rd and then 5th gear. You can clearly see a much higher gain in 3rd gear. I believe 6mt show better gains in 3rd gear. Both were done the same time and day. 3rd Gear: SAE Corrected: 369whp STD Corrected: 379whp Uncorrected: 374whp 5th gear rwhp were: SAE Corrected: 340rwhp STD Corrected: 350rwhp Uncorrected: 344rwhp |

Would advise that people stop looking at the numbers and concentrate on the gains made from performance upgrades.
Different dyno's will read different and the power will change with atmospheric conditions, run conditions and correction factors. The shape of the graphs is brilliant. |

Thats why I mentioned in the post he got a 30rwhp gain from the mods, which is right inline what he should have gotten. Dave

A Dynapack can adjust for gear ratio. Remember, 1:1 in a DCT is 7th, and at that speed, you are spinning the diff and dynapack rollers REAL fast.
