You might be better off posting this over on M3 post.
http://www.m3post.com/forums/index.php I would choose an M3 over an M6 (for actual driving, not if I had to pick one to be given to me for free). So, m3 vs. 650i is no contest. Average M3 driver age is likely to be at least 10-15 years younger than average 650i driver age. Part of that might be cost, but it also reveals a lot about the character of the cars. Decide which group you are in and go with that one. Better yet, just test drive both cars and pick the one you like better. |

It depends if you want a real sports car which accelerates, handles, and drives like a sports car...the M3 or do you want a more comfy, more isolated coupe dd which has some sports car characteristics (but weighs more than 2 tons).

Whale? The 6 doesn't weight that much more than an m3. (a few hundred lbs, not 1K)
For NYC and its traffic, I may chose a 6 series. Rarer than E92 coupes, and the more torquey engine is better for traffic. Also, going to give a smoother ride over the crappy roads we have. Depends on your age, and what you are looking for out of the car. Both are nice choices. |

650i = isolated comfort.
M3 = wild fun.

M3 is an awesome car, but I'd also prefer the 650i coupé .
Why? It's more civilized and classy. And the engine noise of that 4.8 liter beast is awesome.

M3 sportier, 650i more luxurious and mature. I would pick the new M3 because the 650i handling isn't that great, it is just more exclusive.. which the new M3 would be too!

Shit, look at the blind comments in this thread. It would be 10x worse over there. People on a chevy board may "know" the silverado, but do you think you will get impartial responses from them in a "Silverado vs F250" thread? Not to take anything away from an M3, i personally would choose an M3 over a 650, but im 22 and am not overly concerned with practicality, ride comfort, etc. My other car is probably one of the most impractical DDs ive ever seen. Not everyone has the same needs/wants in a car. |
