maybe its just the test cars. The one in the autoshow was equipped with the Magnetic Ride Control and it seemed a lot lower

Maybe the gap difference is the Z51 package or something.

I can't wait to drive this thing. This has a serious chance of being my next car. The M4 or the C7. The M4 is a stunner, and with the blowers - easy mods coming for another 100 horse - cheap.

Then again, the C7 NA motor - lagless and more response on throttle would be a nice change from what I have now - almost 2 seconds of lag (I just hate that).

I'd love a 991 but can't afford it. GTR too much, M4 and C7 prob same price point.

Can't wait to see them and drive them.

agreed... the Z51 would be my package for sure.

on the gaps though, I don't know why the American cars can't get with the program and remove the unsightly gaps. My Mustangs of old were horrible for gaps - the new Mustangs aren't much better. My 335 (or VW, or Porche) fitment looks so nice in comparison. Why can't they design offsets that fit?

You nailed it..I am sure its nothing that a more agressive wheel offset wouldnt fix.

It is true though if you compare BMW/Mercedes to Vettes/Mustangs the latter cars seem to ride higher..but then again this in line with the German philosophy of putting out a low slung suspension for better handling

remember that large body gaps don't mean lots of suspension travel.

You can design the travel to occur within the wheel wells.

It is more a result of design and cosmetics, in where they place the edge of the body.

In the old C6 vette, they placed them as far away from the tires as possible because the bodies varied by an inch or so from side to side. I actually measured the discrepancy on my friends car with a ruler! You can fix that, of course. Just loosen all the screws up while your friend pushes on the fender and then re-tighten. The new FRP panels seem to be a solution for this issue. Therefore, they should be able to get tight body-gaps and small wheel gaps...

What I would not want is a car that looks like a radio-controlled vehicle that my kids play with.....

Back on topic - I do take my hat off to Chevy for listening (finally) about the interior. From the vids, and descriptions of the materials - nothing is fake. This is a huge, HUGE positive move. I am not 100% sure about the buttons they use until I see and feel them work though. I have never seen an interior in a Chevy I liked. The CTS-V is probably the best they have, a bit gaudy for my taste, but not bad. I would take it. I think the dash and wheel are very nice.

The Camaro is disgraceful. The interior designers in the Camaro need to be fired right now. How could they F that up so bad? I will have to have a close look at the tail lights on the C7 in person, but I didn't want them to take ANYTHING off the Camaro for design, and it looks like the Camaro tail lights are on this thing.

The Front air intake looks a bit off to my eye too. It is ok but it could be better.

The rear is ok to me, I like the 4 booster rockets a lot.

I would get this in stick I think. I don't think the automatic will be good enough - I am sure this will be the worst part of the car. They need to bite the bullet and have someone design a DCT for them. They need a DCT full stop.

I sure hope they maintained the luggage space. I need 2 sets of golf clubs in the car. This is an absolute must. I have to be able to take a trip in my car with my wife/buddy and go golfing. This rules out a 911 (991) sadly - even though it is out of my price range anyway (I'd get used).

This C7 is affordable, nice looking, interior looks very nice, and the performance numbers estimated will be very good. I'd say a hit out of the park - IF it drives the way I think it should.

I hope you aren't "bunkered" in like the other vettes. I like the driving position of my 335, visibility and everything about it. I will probably have to compromise on that....

I really dig the front. Could have got a bit more aggressive face, but it's good. The tail though, no me gusta there. Specially in yellow, makes it look like a toy car.

There's a slight possibility that I might be starting my mid-life-crisis this year and just want to be prepared.

Couple quick questions:
1) Anyone know if 4 bowling balls would fit, comfortably, in the C7?
2) Anyone recommend a good place for chest hair transplants? I'd need to get some taken off my head and put on my chest.

Bahahah

Do you recommend a good place to do the opposite? Recently there has been a battle between my Iranian gene and Italian gene until now that Cyrus kicked Luigi's ass and as the result, in a sunny day my head outshines the sun. I have the tradition Persian carpet on my chest though. I can give you some.

I put a deposit down on one of these things, my lease ends in January so I figured why not. Can't wait until some journalists get ahold of it
