2011 m3 aw dct price check

2010 m3 aw dct + carbon fiber roof + premium package + edc
50k miles

37.5k+tax

Am I getting ripped off? or this is a good deal? I have been looking for 3 months, local dealers sell m3 at 4000 above kbb fair purchase price, so this car is remote to me from an east coast dealer. This carfax is quite fishy with big gaps of sitting in various dealer lots. I am waiting for a bmw dealership PPI before purchasing to double check. Thanks in advance for responses.

Seems to be priced very good if everything comes back well.

All maintenance records good?

Thank you. Maintenance history on carfax is good, but hopefully BMW can let me take a look at their history during ppi, I have seen things like head gasket replacements in BMW maintenance history but not in carfax.

Probably just the gasket on the mechatronics unit needing to be replaced. Wheres this 28k figure coming from?

Oops, I mistyped, it is 2.8k. He says they need to replace lower pan gasket, lower pan itself and side gasket. I suppose they need to drop the tranny to replace the side ones, which takes a long time.

I'm wondering if there's anyone who has done this gasket replacement as a DIY yet? Good thing you got the PPI done. I would probably still buy it but have the seller drop that much off the price especially if everything else has checked out. Depending on the market where you are searching for a car anyway.

Luckily mine was done by the dealership before I got my car. Could be the reason for the price.

2800 sounds about right for the gasket change on the DCT. They usually do both side and bottom pans and it does require dropping the trans. Luckily my independent shop only had to partially drop it and I saved about half that. I wouldn't let it hold you off from buying the car.
