After driving my friends with DCT I probably would have gotten it instead of the manual

I would have gotten contrasting stitching on the interior and a bi-colour steering wheel.

I'm happy with everything else.
IND Fire Orange color and 6MT.

Like others have said, I'm extremely satisfied with my M, since I was able to build it myself new from the factory. I admittedly altered my order about 5 times during the lengthy 'build phase' going from fox red to fox red/black to all black...non-extended to extended leather....cold weather pckg to non-cold weather but w/ heated seats.....etc., etc.

I have to hand it to the collective experiences and reviews of the members of this forum. Reading and researching from others' experiences allowed me to make extremely informed decisions about which packages I wanted on my new M3...and, which features where either a waste of money, ugly, annoying, etc....it resulted in me getting the perfect car for me!

There were a few things I would have changed if I was able to...The only changes I would have made were both out of my control... 1) I really really wanted a sedan for the four-door convenience and a little more under-the-radar styling 2) I really wanted coloured-stitching in the interior and/or a dark brown leather interior...neither of which bmw offered except on the insanely expensive individual package.

But, these things are relatively small and every day I love my M3 more and more.

Thanks again to the members here for your assistance in making my M3 perfect....even if you didn't realize you were doing it.

1) Atacama Yellow individual color. There is an atacama yellow Z4 at the dealer and a dakar yellow M3. The atacama is bright and deep. In contrast, the dakar looks pale and faded --- yikes.

2) GTS wheels. If I had a huge garage and serious dough laying around, I'd have the GTS wheels, and 359s in both stock and gunmetal. I'd rotate between three. Sigh.

OK, time to wake up and quit dreaming

Seems like a number of people would have gone Individual if they could do it again. I just didn't think it was worth the money at the time. Now I wished I had done it.

I fixed all the "problems" that I had with my old 2008 E90 M3 with my new 2012 E92 M3 order last year:

- Coupe vs Sedan
- M-DCT vs 6-speed manual
- Individual interior vs regular colors
- standard HiFi vs EPS
- ZCP vs not-available-then ZCP
- European Delivery vs local dealer

For the next M3 I will do exactly the same at time of purchase: European Delivery and Individual options.

No regrets, if ZCP was offered for sedans here in the UK then I would have opted for it.

It's a good excuse to get a Euro-bumper.

I'm not a big fan of red, but yours just came together well.

Thanks for your input on the options, everyone. Great thread.
It is missed
I loved the red, only reason I didn't get red again was that it would not have felt like a new car
I like the blue a lot, but nothing like the red
The contrast between the red, and the glossy black trim and CF roof was perfect
Why didn't you buy it?
It sold for a fairly low price

Every now and then I think of Space Gray w/ Fox Red. Then I see how beautifully all the Alpine White cars photograph on this board. I know I made the right choice.

Bingo, that red on black roof/interior it just worked. I like the way the e90 body style shows well in eye catching colors, seemingly better (to me) than the e36/46 Ms. All preference, I suppose.

Sadly, your car was sold by the time I got to the add. Perhaps it was a blessing as I'm likely leaving the country from work soon, but every time I look it sure doesn't feel like any blessing!! : Funny, I wanted an E90 until I saw your coupe

I would order the exact same car but in Melbourne Red. It wasn't even on the radar for me when I ordered but I have since seen it in person and it's simply stunning.

I ordered a week ago. I wish they had some custom options for orders like the black GTS wheels, bigger brakes, exhaust, carbon spoiler (instead of the normal one) etc. as added at the factory not after the fact. I did get the prem. sound added not sure it is worth it since I haven't really heard it but about 5 min. I really want to hear that engine.

This forum has been a great help and a new obsession while I wait. I really want it now....

With the same options available; I wouldn't change a thing. I do wished they had more interior color choices; this is the best car I've ever owned and I still don't care about the gas.....................

The only thing I can think of is getting Mineral white and Black ZCP wheels... I really wanted white when I was first looking at the M3's but stayed away from it because EVERYONE had/has white. In fact, out of my 3 friends who have M3's, they all have white.

On another note, I really really love my SG/FR combo. No regrets here...
