Error with DRL kit

I installed WeissLicht LED halo bulbs (angel eyes) and a Daeos DRL harness and I keep getting error codes every now and again for my front right lamp. I know if you take the lights off the auto setting, error codes are expected. However, I haven't been messing with that at all. Anything I can do?

Do you have the DRLs enabled on the iDrive system?

nope i disabled the DRLs in the iDrive system because the ugly halogen high beams were turning on with the halos.

Try swapping the WL LED unit between sides, to see if the error pops up on the other side. If it does, we can replace it under warranty.

Hmm I'll try that when I take my wheels off next. So much work to get to the bulbs!

Initially I didn't have the problem, but about a month into it, with dial set to Automatic, the car shows an error saying my low beam bulb is out...

I flipped it back to low beam and back to Automatic, it goes away. Happens here and there but mostly during dusk/dawn

If it helps, I turned off DRL.

That sucks, its a pain to reinstall those lights. I have the harness and lux and have never had a problem with errors or uneven light.

I thought the error message was only an issue for early build '06's. Anyone from jlevisw.com care to chime in and straighten things out?

The error according to the site should only happen on some "older" cars when (and only when) you switch to "parking". I had it when my headlights lights came on in auto. I contacted jlevi and they were no help, just blew me off really. I think I might have fixed it by replacing the crap wire taps that came with the harness with quality taps. I haven't had the problem since, but it's only been 2 days.
Try it and see if it works. Don't waste your time with jlevi they won't help you, sucks too I was going to order about $2000 in additional mods from them. I'll go elsewhere now that I know their support sucks.
Good luck I'll let you know if I get any errors.

You may be able to code it out. IE turn off DRL's and turn on AE's without the harness. I did this with my 08 E90 just a couple days ago. See this thread:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=451145

See page 72 post 1549

Some older E90's don't have the option but just depends on your build date. If not you never know if the DAEOS harness will give you errors until you install it and good luck getting support from jlevi.

Goodluck!
