BMW Teleservice

Got this e-mail for 1st 1200 mile service....car has 700 (+-) miles. What triggers this to happen? Is it simply a mileage prompt?

Takes 2 weeks to get a service appointment to include a loaner car. They are also going to re-do the XM/Sirius download that didn't take the first time at new car delivery. Says it takes a few hours just for that.....paid about $350 for this privilege.

Had XM for over ten years in many new cars (Acuras) & never heard this one.

Thanks!

Just mileage to the break-in service. I would just schedule the appointment now if it takes two weeks to get one (depending on how much you drive the car).
