High priced painting and vinyl

Before I ship my car, I'm thinking of having a full touch-up done to the factory colored paint somewhere in Germany. On top of that, I'll have a full vinyl wrap for paint protection(about a month later), and a special vinyl design applied over that. So I'm curious how much other people have paid in Germany for similar work...This is for an e92 M3. In the end, I'll pay for quality work...just curious what the norm is...Anyone?

- Touch-up for paint chips(mostly the hood)
[insert rough price here]

- Full transparent vinyl wrap
[insert rough price here]

- Special vinyl wrap(about 50% of the car)
[insert rough price here]

If I were you, I would wait until after the car arrives to deal with any paint issues.

+1

When BMW shipped my car from Germany (military sales) it arrived with damage to both bumpers. I would just wait.

The other two cars that were shipped (government and private shipping) were also damaged.

Good luck!

Thanks for the responses so far. I'm getting it painted and then vinyl wrapped here where I trust the paint process and the wrap process. If I need to, I'll have the wrap and/or paint repairs reimbursed at Germany economy prices with receipts proving the date(s) and value. I'm just checking to see what others have paid for similar work. Thanks again if anyone has that info.

Nothing? No one else has done paint repair or vinyl wrapping in Germany before? I feel like I'm forging the way

Before anyone says it, yes, I checked my private messages...There are currently no comments pertaining to the question at hand by private message.

Good luck with that. I spent 6 weeks chasing down all of parties that were involved with shipping my BMW and got repeated denials at every level.

I ended up just going through USAA for a comprehensive claim. All was repaired in the end, but it was a hassle and would only imagine the added PIA of replacing wraps, perhaps partially, at the end of the day.

Curious to know why you didn't apply 3M stoneguard to your car to begin with and would have avoided all this

@Elldon: Thanks! Exactly what I was looking for
@M3_vert: I didn't see any high enough quality work to justify the prices I was being quoted. SFD (Stefan Freyermuth Design) has asked what seems to be reasonable for the quality of work provided.
