Nice looking car. Rare too. Most seem to be getting cars that are pretty much loaded.

Could you take a pic inside the center storage compartment? It seems the '09s have lost the vent feature of the cup holder. But this may be just the sedans (or maybe it only comes with some option package which of course you don't have). Thanks.

Congrats and enjoy.

Here is a thread comparing IB and LeMans Blue thanks to Remmib. Looks like LeMans is a bit darker and not as purply.

Nope, that thread is a comparison of LeMans Blue and Montego Blue. IB is darker than LMB and also has a purple hue in certain direct light.

All '09s (including my coupe) have lost the cooled cup holder. I'll take some pictures. I don't know why...

If you're just going to criticize, why post?

The speed cloth looks just as good as the leather because it has that Euro stripe down the middle. Very cool.

I can't tell the difference either.

EDIT: I think IB is a darker, deeper blue IMO.

OT, killer sig Playon!
Which one has more purple in it?

OT, Thanks, all praises on the sig go to Dr. phuOnger over on e90post.com, it was time for an upgrade, and he pulled it off.

single hump - no nav/idrive

two hump-double hump - with nav/idrive.

just look at the outline of the dash and you'll get it.

I would say IB, but I'd really have to see the two colors side by side.

Congratulations! I love the stripped out cars, so nice. The 18s look lighter in these pics than on some of the other cars I've seen.

Anyone else notice that?

These pics were taken from M5board.com. Looks like the M5 in the middle (E39) might be LeMans Blue, and the M5 closest (E60) is IB, but just a guess. IB looks darker.

Both IB and LMB have a broad range of appearance depending on the light they're in, and they have a lot of overlap. However, when seen in the same light side by side, they look very different.

Attached are some pics from a writeup done by M5Board on the E60 M5 when it came out. The E60 is IB, the E39 is LMB, and the E34 Touring is Avus Blue (my personal favorite):

Link to more pics (scroll down toward the bottom).

As you can see, IB is definitely the darkest and has the most purple in it. LMB is the lightest and brightest of the bunch, and Avus is in the middle.

Any particular reason for speed cloth? It looks great, maybe the simplicity?
