My owners manual solution.

i posted a thread a few weeks ago about where you put your owners manual. the majority including myself all left it in the trunk above the tool kit. recently a thread about battery terminals came up which brought up a valid point, what if you can't get to your owners manual because of the particular problem that you are experiencing.

Owner's Manual in PDF

2011 Manual with iDrive
2011 Supplementary Manual

My solution:

good idea! Do you have the supplemental M3 manual in pdf as well? I only have the main manual which is basically a generic 3 series manual. Thanks!

it did it by itself, did you add the pdf via itunes? maybe you can't do it yet because you cant get the ios4. i believe the image that gets displayed on the shelf is just the first page of the pdf.

yeah, I got the 3 series manual in my iPad, however, the BMW only have the general 3 series manual in PDF for download, the M3 specific PDF manual can't be found.

Give it a try and report back to us if you could open it . You'd be the first I'm aware of. Mine feels like nothing is attached to the lock; could have broken the key trying. My take is BMW never intended to have a manual lock, so used the remaining trunks with locks without actually connecting them . Could take my trunk apart to confirm my suspicion, but honestly don't care since I have a pass-thru hole and a skinny daughter .

My owner's manual, service manual and registration papers fit beautifully in my glove box, inside the leatherette '///M' case that was in my trunk. The rest of the manuals are in the trunk spot above the tools, inside the vinyl case.

Owner's Manual in PDF

My solution:

Nice! I just D/Ld iBooks as well and it's pretty sweet. Was the manual available in the store of did you have to D/L it to the phone via the BMW site?

Also, how did you get your battery strength to show up as a percentage? I have iOS4 but on a 3G, not an iPhone 4.
