Having problems with importing music from glovebox USB.

I've searched, but I still don't understand why I cannot import music from the glovebox USB port. My car is a 2013. I have a 64GB stick that works on the console USB for playing music. When I try to use the same stick on the glovebox USB port, it doesn't detect any music there. I tested the glovebox USB and it can charge my phone, so there is power to the USB port.

My question is, if the format is correct enough to work on the console, why doesn't the glovebox USB work. I read another thread where the member that had this problem found out that the USB port in the glovebox didn't have power. I figured, if I can charge my phone with the glovebox USB, then it has power.

Are the two USB ports different somehow where the console can read music but not the glovebox USB?

Had the same problem 2011.75 - ended up burning the songs I wanted to dvds and loaded them to the hard drive through the cd/DVD player.

The two USB ports are different; I ended up using an old iPod that's plugged into the armrest port permanently.

I think the hard drive only burns a lower bitrate for songs, you may just want to keep the USB stick in the working port, or find a cheap iPod / MP3 player to use that port.

Good luck...

This right here. Don't think the USB in the glove box can read Fat32. It was designed primarily for iPods IIRC.

Sorry for the thread revival but I'm having this issue as well and cant seem to find any solutions to it other then waiting, which isnt working. I have a Samsung 128gb formatted to NTFS with only 2 albums on it but when I click import it says no usb. I know the port is working because it charges my phone (very slowly lol)

My glovebox USB is Fat32 and works great. Are y'all sure NTFS is ok? Also what type of music files are you attempting to import? My car is a 2011.
