what portable vacuum you have?

I live in a condo so as you can imagine cleaning my car is a bit of a challange since I don't have a driveway.

I was wondering what portable vacuum do you guys use?

I was trying to figure if I can go cordless or should go cordded.

I saw this on amazon and was thinking about getting it.

I've never had luck with handheld units - I picked up this little guy and have been very happy with it.

I'd consider this. http://www.amazon.com/Metro-Vacuum-V...ref=pd_cp_hi_0

Varying prices on amazon, but the extension seems key.

What is your opinion on a rug doctor? Just for the once a year kind of clean up?

As in my opinion on your question OP. I just use the gas station ones but I guess you save money in the long run with a personal, I may buy one now.

I use the dyson DC 34 and its the shit! On full power it only lasts 5-6 min of constant use, enouf time to clean my car almost twice. Lot of suction power, pulls everything out of the carpet etc. Take around 4 hrs to charge so much faster than any other brand that iv seen and more powerful.

Electrolux Workzone Z61A Corded

Long cable, really powerful for that little thing. Extensions as well for little gaps. Rotating Brushing head thingy. Portable. Really sucky! No dust bags, easy to empty and to clean.

Battery runs out way too quickly.

This thread is extremely timely and am tired of hauling my heavy ass Kirby vacuum around and assembling attachments just to vacuum out the car. PITA!!!
I bought this vac this afternoon after I saw this post. Looking forward to seeing how it measures up. FYI, IT'S $25 IN STORE TOO! It says $30 in store but it's $5 off. Thanks

Just tried this thing out. WONDERFUL for $25! Very good suction at that price, not great. Portability can't be beat. A little noisy but sounds like it will last. Hose is a little on the short side. Sweetest part was this thing only come with 2 attachments which are lousy. My Kirby brushed attachments fit perfectly onto the hose provided which made a quick job even quicker. Was done in 5 minutes. Awesome for 25 bones. Waiting to see how it handles the wet. Extremely satisfied!!!!
