Two events in Queensland -Skidpan/Drifting and Track Day

TRACK DAY SEPTEMBER 18th CANCELLED
Due to other events including a BMW Club Day at Lakeside I don't have the numbers to go ahead with this. Next QR Day will be likely March next year

Hi guys
I'm setting up two events for September, details below. It's always great to see the regulars turn up for these days that are always a lot of fun, safe as possible where you get to use the cars to YOUR limitations.

Skidpan Day: Advanced driver training course at Mt Cotton
Guys, I’ve organised a morning at Mount Cotton for a driver training session including classroom training with 2 instructors. Basically learning how to control your car in a drift in the perfect environment on a track that’s basically a skidpan. The track is wet and has some diesel oil for extra slipperiness!

This is a slow speed (40 km/ph) training day where your traction control is off on a track that is wet and slippery. Improve skills in recognising understeer, oversteer and avoiding getting out of control

Whilst being a training day it’s also a huge amount of fun and not hard on your car. We will have 2 instructors and it will go for 4 hours, so plenty of time for drifting, learning and just having a good time

Proposed date: Saturday September 14th 8.30am start.
Cost: $180.00 per driver
Spots 11 left

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEd_qxfcoh0

Track Day at Queensland Raceway: Track Day Cancelled on September 18th
Wednesday September 18th
Queensland Raceway
Open Track Format
Cost per driver $190.00

Due to the success of past events the last one of the year at Queensland Raceway is set for September 18th and will be exactly the same format as the last 2 events which were very popular. Once again with Doug Chapple as our facilitator for the day and will give in car instruction as in the past.
These days have always been really good, a sensational track that is one of the safer tracks around Qld. It’s a great opportunity to drive your car on a track in a non-competitive non timed format.
It’s a no pressure day and is, as usual, designed to allow maximum enjoyment of your car with minimal risk and instruction when needed.

To run this day I will need the usual 20 drivers. It will be the group’s last event at QR for the year.
I’m taking bookings now and will need to finalise this one over the next few weeks.

Either PM me go to my Facebook Page and join the "M3 Group"

Thanks Oystero, Vic would be good, my old home town for many years but I don't have a COLD AIR intake (sorry)
We were down the other day and went for a tour of the Harrop factory which is truly amazing.

Doesn't Andrew from Southern BM run a day at Philip Island down there?
There must be a few tracks around Melbourne that you can book for a private day. We usually get about 20 together and split the cost, it's cheap and always a great day. What about Calder? Is that still going?

Hi Doug,

As a local why not jump on my FB page and join the M3 group and introduce yourself there. I do a few of these days and it's always a great experience for everyone

Track Day Cancelled on September 18th
Unfortunately the local BMW club are running an event within a few days of this and I don't have the numbers go ahead. As this is the last one for the year at QR I don't expect to organise another track day here until around March next year. Summer is too hard on the cars.
Thanks for the support for those who are regulars but I'm too many under the numbers to go ahead

Morgan Park track day is fully booked in November. That should be great and a good night out afterwards

Skidpan/Drift day on the other hand is fully booked but I do have one member who has now other commitments and can't make it so there is 1 spot only.
This is a group and there are 2 instructors so if you want the last spot let me know. It's $180.00 for the half day at Mt Cotton Driver Training Centre.

You too, thanks for coming to support the day. It was sensational, everyone seemed to have a great time and just another chapter in the awesomeness of the M3 in any situation. Great bunch of people, we will have to do another one of these very soon. Huge number of pics and videos to make a compilation
