I'd like to be on the list for E90 black chrome tips.

Assuming the price is <200, considering E92 black and silver tips can be found on eBay for 180, shipped. Unfortunately, wrong length for E90 application.

The Edition black chrome tips are double walled and smaller in diameter than the EAS ones too!

They are also approximately 88 dollars per tip...I for one would like single walled and bigger exhaust tips for a more aggressive look.

Yep, 75mm to be exact. Ours are 80mm.

Just wanted to share the tip upgrade with the people interested in purchasing from EAS.

I got some new tips from EAS and installed them today. EAS is great to deal with. They had the best price on the tip upgrade, provided the rivets, and were able to ship out same day. Installation went very smooth. They are just a little larger than stock. This paired up with the muffler modification is very nice together in terms of low budget setup. Let me know how you like it!

I take it the tips are pre-drilled for easy rivet installation?

I used rivets but you can use the clamps. There were two slits if you have to use rivets you can use the slits, worked nicely for me.

It could just be the pictures; however, the lips seem a tad bit short on the E90. Do the outer tips protrude pass the bumper slightly or no?

I actually purposely setup mine all the way toward the exhaust muffler. These can be setup another inch forward if desired. They are a bit recessed this way, but I have no plans of getting a diffuser so for now they are in a nice position. I can always change that if needed.

They look like they protrude the same length as OEM which seems sensible if you're not running a rear diffuser, I'll be doing the same!

LightWerkz, you mentioned two slots to secure the tips; only two out of the four stock holes to secure the tips? Do the tips seem secure enough with only being two pointed? Also, are those production items??

Sorry for the questions. There isn't much, if any, info on these tips as of yet.

IMO, I would imagine designing the tips to fit the same way the say stock (ei: rivet holes not slots and four attach points vise two) would take a lot of the guess work out.

From the pics it appears as if there are "slits" (as mentioned above) instead of holes for the rivets. This, I assume, makes the tips adjustable in length?

good move painting the stock muffler black as well...the OEM tips and huge muffler box really don't look right IMO...if I didn't have my akra and wanted to upgrade the "look" of the oem exhaust, this would be the way to go IMO...this and perhaps the "can opener" is a great alternative to the overpriced aftermarket options...

looks great

although this option doesn't seem to give much room for diffusers...or is it just the angles....

You have to drop the muffler to install the tips. The original tips are held with rivets at the top and bottom. They need to be drilled out before install the new OEM black tips or any others (i.e. EAS). Stock muffler weighs a ton.
