Possibly. Especially where the couple is in an "open" relationship type of lifestyle.

Personally, my wife would definitely put me in the dog house if she found out I was posting her pics on a forum full of dudes.

Luckily she pays zero insurance... she is not an admitting physician but a consultant, Therefore the hospital pays 100% of her liability insurance... Don't ask me how it works to be a benefit for the hospital that way but I am guessing them paying for a huge number of providers gets them a huge discount as opposed to a single provider paying for their own liability insurance.

I know very few physicians who know anything about managing their finances. Most i know spend too much to justify their hard word.

she maybe doesn't seem to cares about cars, and he's got his 135i on his own income - do you want him in a lambo off his wife's salary?
When you pull down $700k a year, you don't worry about your image looking too impressive. And again, he's on a BMW enthusiast forum. Would it be out of line for her to drive an M5 and him an M3 or even XM5s, etc.. No.

I told her I would try a BMW and it just isn't for me. I am going to go back to a Tahoe or a Avalanche.
We both have harleys as well so she is into racing and riding etc. Guns too. but we want to build a car so I told her I would help her restore an old 2002 or 1600 BMW if I can build a Factory 5 GTM and she said Deal! All kinds of win for me.
Good deal on the Factory 5! Too bad about the Avalanche, that really is an unfortunate vehicle. Props to you for experimenting though. If you would have made another choice from the BMW line up you may have been more impressed.

They look pretty young. They may not have a sufficiently high net worth to justify buying something like an M3 or M5 yet.

Wow! Hospital employed pulm/critical care doc making $600k. What part of the country is this?? That has to be more than twice the average.

Facts are, you can love your wife and be proud all you want but sharing her pictures with bunch of strangers and then comment how bangable she is... Well it's classless. It's your wife, not some stripper in Vegas. About your money situation, it's easy for anyone throw figures around on the Internet, I have done financing for many doctors (I am in mortgage banking) and I make more than most I have done financing for... 600k seems very high for her age and experience level, at age of 34 is she a phd? Most doctors I see income like that for are plastic surgeons and or have been in private practice forever. Top notch surgeons also make money like that.

Who cares guys? People exaggerate who they are on the internet all the time!

Why? Insecurity. The need to feel accepted. Compensating for something lacking in their own lives. If he's telling the truth? Great for him. Either way, it's the internet.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to a dinner in Switzerland to accept my Nobel Peace Price later today (flying on my private Jet).

Well, I suppose it isn't totally out of the question, but it is suspect.

Firstly, at 34 years of age and having done pulmonary/critical care, you are likely just a year or two out of training. The national average salary for a critical care doc is around $260k. The high end salaries are up around $500k or more, however, I suspect that comes with experience and a higher position.

I would love to know who is paying that much for a relatively newly trained critical care doc. It is over double the national average. Maybe I can go there and double my income as an anesthesiologist also!!!

And, BTW, "double boarded in Pulmonary & Critical Care" may sound impressive to the uninformed, but in order to practice Critical Care via the Internal Medicine route, this is basically the standard pathway.

Finally, a buddy of mine is worth well into 8 figures. They have two cars: A Honda Odessey and a 135i convertible. While I don't have anywhere close to that kind of money, there is a point at which you sometimes wish to be inconspicuous.

I just came across this thread a short time ago.....what a story. I am a divorce survivor myself. Fortunately it was 13 years ago, and I have nicely rebuilt my life, thanks, in part to meeting a wonderful woman who is truly the love of my life. Still, divorce is one of life's great stressors, especially if you have kids. You can't expect to go through a divorce and not take a hit in life.

It is like having a badly infected foot. In order for you to survive, it needs to be amputated, but you will have to accept living the rest of your life with one foot. Good luck to all who have had to face/are facing this tragedy of modern life.

And finally....divorce lawyers are not your friends. Even your own lawyer needs some amount of conflict so they can make some money. The bigger the pot, the more they will try and bleed you. And since this is such an emotionally charged issue, your heart strings are ripe for the plucking. As many have said, I wish I knew then what I know now.

Yes, be careful when breaking in that 747. Always keep it under 500 knots, and never ever deploy flaps too early during the break in period.

you are correct... she is about to finish her second year. Base salary is in the $450k range and she gets a bonus 2 times a year based off of the billing in her clinic and her clinic group. she has gotten 4 bonuses the past 2 years and each one has gone up due to her clinic growing from about 5-6 patients per day to roughly 25-30 patients and 10-15 new consults. Luckily her group has cardio, gastro Pulmonary, Sleep etc... The Gastro guys are pulling in well over a million. their bonuses are in the $400k range 2 times a year plus their base. Who knew sticking a tube in a bunch of guys asses paid so well? You should look at coming to Charlotte. the anesthesiologist refuse to intabate patients at night in the ICU when she is on call and she has to go in for that. They are right there in the on-call room and wont do it...

As far as I am concerned, none of them get paid enough for what they endure. soon as they get a few more mid-levels on board things will be better.

I hope you went the extra mile and spent $10k on bow thrusters. I had a hard time maneuvering mine off the coast of Costa Rica. It could have just been the extra weight from my 3 Rolex's on my steering hand.
