a german car magazine tested the FK453 on the E92 M3 and the tire was really good compared to the OEM Michelin tires.

since i'm not really happy with my Hankook S1 Evo, i think the FK453 will be my next tire.

Not sure how the tire changed from the FK452, but I had a set and they were hands down the junkiest tire I've ever owned. Treadwear was awful, tires grip was bad, and they were noisy as hell. Unless they pulled out all the stops, I'd be weary.

I have the 452s and have no complaints at all with them. Have had quite a few people drive my car and be really surprised with how good the ride was. A BMW salesperson had said he couldn't tell the difference in ride quality compared to the stock 18s or 19s and I honestly feel the same way. I don't see how they are cheap tires...
http://www.performanceplustire.com/p...85_SLASH_25-20

Right in the middle in terms of price for my rears and more expensive than the super sports. I have honestly not had any problems with the top end sport tires from any quality company (Pirelli, Bridgestone, Michelin). I would love to try the super sports out but from my research and use the Falkens are great! I know thread life can vary car to car but they are rated considerably better than others at 300. For those opposed to the Falkens, have you actually tried them out or are just too loyal to a brand?

I had the FK452s on a 335i and they were all of those things but worst.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports FTW! Read any article about street sport tires and the PSS are considered the benchmark. They are also the winner of Car and Driver's Monsters of Grip Tire Test! http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...-sport-page-10

And here is the thread on the Car and Driver Test:
