Agreed. It's a tie for me--335d which I've had twice and loved (great for zipping around in traffic) and a Z4 3.0 a few years back that was a blast.

I'm not really sure honestly, I was driving slightly more aggressive than usual (but no redlining or anything like that) while the car was cold..(don't ask.) and then boom the car started shaking and got an engine malfunction. Mechanic said pistons and valves are screwed up and I'm waiting for a call from them next week with more information.

I always get 328i's..... incredibly annoying and I hate driving them.

It is annoying to see ///M badges all over the base models. I usually mention how this destroys the prestige of the real ///M cars but the sales people just look at me like im stupid.

Dont get me started on the posers who buy 335s and slap ///M badges and performance parts all over them. Why not just buy am M3??

Add me to the list of folks that always gets 328i. Just got my m3 back with a new instrument panel under warranty, was rolling a 328i sedan for a couple days. Auto start/stop is fine for a regular BMW, but I can't imagine it on an M

From BMW, my nicest loaner was a 550i.

That said, when I was in high school, my mom got a 1993 Mercedes 500E as a loaner. If you aren't familiar with this - it was a limited edition beast that was hand built by Porsche. I spent the entire afternoon drifting around my neighborhood (like the idiot teenager I was).

I have no idea how or why she got that car as a loaner and I doubt I'll ever get anything much cooler than that one.

Nothing but 328i in my dealership. Once I had late appt and got a beater Ford. Guy felt bad and pretty much didn't want me to refill gas. He also said he didn't care about scratches as long as bumper wasn't falling off.

That's interesting. There is actually a guy at the track who brings his 500e each week. His mechanic trailers in his 2 race cars. He's always going on about the MB and I didn't know what it was until him.

Best loaner - '49 Dodge Business Coupe. One bench seat, no back seat. Trunk was bigger than my first apartment. 3 speed manual on the column. Everybody looked.
