Is this thing basically creating just enough friction/heat to soften the glue without burning the clearcoat?

i bought one of these things and it didn't work well for me. it kept wanting to jump and bounce around. maybe you bought the right product and i got a knockoff... i was hesitant to keep using it for fear of scuffing my paint.

I removed my OEM spoiler yesterday and installed a carbon fiber high kick spoiler. I couldn't imagine how long it would have taken me to remove the tape/residue without the rubber adhesive removal tool. Worth every penny and only took me about 20 minutes.
Thanks for the tip! |

At first I read the title and thought it was going to be a magic bullet for Betalink adhesive.
But it's just for tape. Womp-womp. Wheel works great though, I use them all the time. |

3M’s adhesive remover, although a bit spendy, works great too. I used it to remove the clear bra residue off my front bumper and it pretty much wiped right off by hand with a cloth.
