Was just reading this old thread and got a good laugh out of it...

I understand that if your LC is not working that you would want to take your car to the dealer to have it fixed...that being said, just imagine what the tech who works on your car thinks when he reads the service order and it says something along the lines of "Customer states LC not working. Check/Test LC" The tech's reaction is probably

Just something to think about. However if they fix the problem then all is well.

Customer stated LC is not working properly. ECU checked, no codes. LC was activated, car was launched, working properly till 130mph. Repeated LC successful. Car washed

BMW need more info on this topic....
I've tried this, but no engagement. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, anyone?

Make sure you are on level ground when you try to use LC. Also, as others have stated, make sure your foot is not on the brakes when you push the shifter forward. It'll work.

When you get to the 53k-ish range, do you still have to keep it floored until letting go of the shifter? I believe I've tried, but power cuts out every time I let go of the shifter. I'm at 2300 miles, thought that could be the reason, but the only significant engine break-in I thought was the 1200 mile mark?

Keep it floored until you start to rotate and the tower calls . No seriously keep the pedal to the floor and hold on. Once you let up LC is cancelled......Phil

Whats up guys, I had a question for anyone who knows any knowledge about voiding the warranty of your M3 if you activate your launch control more than 4 times?

I went to the dealership to make a deal on a new 2012 E92 M3 and while the sales rep and I were talking about all the different features of the car, we got on the topic of warranties. He had mentioned that if you were to activate the launch control more than 4 times that the dealer wouldn't cover any damage if activated more than 4 times because that would void the warranty.

Can anyone help with this information? Cause I don't want to screw myself over if this is true
