Dinan S3-R (M3 bored to 4.6 liter - 527hp/407lb-ft)

Enjoy...

http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2010/03...46-liters.html

I wonder how much more an M3 Sedan + Dinan Stage 3 engine mods costs compared with a C63 AMG...it may be a C63 killer on the drag-strip while retaining and maybe improving the M3 handling...nice !

EDIT: Oh, sorry, the Dinan engine costs $25k...nevermind

"Matching New Car Warranty coverage up to 4 years/50K miles. Except on "Racing" parts."

Wonder what that means....

That's mad power for NA but I'd rather go with SC for $25K. Thanks for sharing. Happy Monday! LOL

not all all impressed with anything dinan has done with the e9x bmws.

did dinan build their bmw "reputation" on the e36 or the e46 platform ??
cause inmho they have done nothing for the n54... and for the new m3 they want 25k to add 100 crank hp ??

what a joke.

couldnt agree more, so far havent been impressed with anything they have done with BMW in the last 5 years.

25k brings it to power levels that a c63 can hit w just an ecu tune, yawn.

their built M6 sounds amazing though, I would like that one.

There is really no point of sacrificing high revving, perfectly superb engine and turning it into a stroker. As you can see in the lowered rev limit, this more than likely has worse rod/stroke ratio, not to mention costs an arm and a leg.

I would rather SC it or turbo it.

they are reffering to the midpipe. that part is a racing only part. so that would be the only part that doesn't have the 4 yr warranty. but they are an excellent company with taking care of there customers so i am sure if there was a problem with it they would do something. i have the midpipe and have no problems at all

right, it is clear you have no idea what your talking about. typical dinan hater. have you ever even owned anything by them and had a problem to say they would void your warranty first chance they get???

i have owned 3 Dinan cars and never had one problem ever. the few times something happened they took care of it right away and i payed nothing. couple times the car was out of dinans warranty and they still covered it.

lets see where the SC company leaves you after a year and you have a problem, you can bet they would be the one to void you and do nothing about it.

not really, if someone says something that is not even remotely correct and someone corrects it that is not being sensitive. that is the point of these forums right for people to learn and share. sharing the wrong info then just makes the info useless
