I don't want a vacuum cleaner!

I've heard the Akrapovic titanium exhaust and the Dinan exhaust, and I gotta say that while my OEM exhaust isn't as loud, it sounds better.

Those 2 sound like vacuum cleaners to me. Sure, at high rpm, they sound better, but the stock exhaust growls at all rpms, and I like the V8 growl better than the vacuum cleaner suction.

What can I do to just make my OEM exhaust a little louder, or what exhaust should I get to accomplish that, without getting a vacuum cleaner?

A Challenge Street xpipe with Remus Sport cans is a really good combo. Might even eek out a little more HP. Not dat expensive either. Should be clips abound if you do a quick search...

Troll? How the hell can you find those two both sound like vacuum cleaners at any RPM is beyond me. Akra - extremely bassy and reasonably loud even at idle, great tone at low RPM. Dinan less bassy but even louder.

If you want to keep your OEM muffler do the mod so many have done here. It's a little coarse sounding but great tone and very cheap to do.

OEM is like a hybrid, so I guess a vacuum is a type in the right direction.
Perhaps a Mustang is more of the OP's cup o' tea. That or it's just jetpilot again...

Thanks, fellas. I will look into the OEM exhaust mod.

I'm aware of the pics and vids (thanks for sharing those here MPowerBelgium) but is there a how-to write up somewhere?

If you're not inclined to welding...muffler shops charge about $150-$200 for the work

You didn't do anything to me and I don't have anything personal against anyone. This is a blog so it would be impossible to.

What I have issue with is your constant need to talk down to people. That's what got you banned in the first place, isn't it?

You been back 5 mins and already you're telling someone they are on crack for what they think an exhaust sounds like
And your cheering section, cheers. Well not me, and if that gets me banned again that so be it.

Was it a full Akra or just the slip-on?

I have the AA exhaust with stock x-pipe. It's pretty bassy down low but quiets way down for freeway speeds, fwiw. I could do with a bit less bass going up hills in residential areas, for example.

Most will say the exhaust mod, M Performance Exhaust, or Eisenmann Sport are in the realm of what you're looking for.
