Dinan stage 1 + camber plate with spring substitution?
Hi all, I purchased a used dinan st 1 kit + dinan camber plates. I am not sure I like how little the front is dropped using the dinan spring. I am thinking of installing all the dinan components but switching the springs to swift spec R's for a better drop. Would this be completely compatible? ( I am thinking yes based on my forum search just want to double check). Also , would my performance and ride be adversely effected by mixing and matching parts?
thanks in advance |

In the future, ask BEFORE buying Dinan.
You could have bought all the E36 M3 bumpstops, shaved spring perches and H&R or Swift springs and had the drop you wanted and saved a ton. The "Dinan components" are just stock BMW parts, some of which are modified. They try to give a lower car more travel while also being lowered so you're not on your bumpstops all the time. As for camber plates, you should have got some real plates from KW or Vorslag. .

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Thanks for the responses, well I picked up the kit for 780 with plates so I figure if I sell the Dinan springs and get the swifts I'd be in good shape and wouldn't have spent too much money. I really don't track my car very often and I think the additional camber the dinan offers is good for me honestly.
