Lakers went 4-11 to finish the season last year. What I am saying and have been saying for quite awhile, it's a marathon and not a sprint. It is the longest season in Sports.

As for the Celtics losing to the Cavs w/ Varejo, still, it's the Cavs. The Celtics lost to the Bobcats before they lost to the Lakers too.

The last time the Lakers 3 peated, they played in a similar fashion that 3rd year. 3 peating isn't easy. Every team gets up to play you their best game. The really bad teams in the league, they have empty arenas almost the entire season. The Lakers come in, it's a sellout. The fans are excited, the energy is in the air, and then the home team gets excited. They haven't seen that type of buzz or a sellout all season. They bring their A game.

JH what's your opinion on the Melo trade...? It is hard for me to judge because it is all I hear about from local sports sources. They are all biased. ESPN is just stirring the pot.

i feel that new york probably won't make it far into the playoffs, but it's a process of rebuilding. melo and amar'e would be really good pieces to build around in the coming years, but at the same time, getting rid of felton gallo and possibly gov seems like a risky step backwards. it's a gamble, but the payoff could be huge down the line. i have a feeling isiah is behind all this lol. i'd keep the current core instead of picking up a like $65+ million melo deal, but that's just me

not to mention nyk defense will be even weaker and without moz (who has improved significantly over the season), your frontcourt will be even more thin than it already is

Agreed , I think the Knicks would be giving up too many pieces. It's a gamble to try to land melo for the deal that's on the table , but thanks to lebron and he's infamous summer everyone wants the easy way out to a contender. IMO players have too much power now a days.
