Definitely the merc interior is badass. I agree that the m3 interior is well the color combo atleast. exterior wise big fan of the c36 and m3. so all in all either a c36 or m3 would be my choice in these coupes. audi=fail.

I disagree and think that little sticker that says "RS" on any audi should earn it's spot on any list.

I obviously think all three have their points........though I love the signature ///M center adjusted exhaust, I hate the utter look of the exhaust and wish the muffler was more hidden with a little bit bigger pipes like on the other two cars.
Cheers, e46e92

Big fan of both the RS5 and M3 but for different reasons.
The RS5 looks aggressive with it's lower and wider stance, plus when you look down it's flank it has the impression of the bodywork being stretched over the rear wheels making the rearend look even wider again, all things that are missing with the M3 though to be fair the M3 has a lean and athletic look to it the neither the RS5 or C63 has. I suppose it all depends on which styling you like best ..... aggressive or athletic? Inside it's a no brainer, the RS5 looks and feels the true sportscar. Right from the feel of the steering wheel to the way the seat support you in the corners, it's the only one of the three which feels special to sit in. C63, sorry to those who are a fan of this car but I can't warm to it in the same way as I like the saloon, it's design looks ackward. |

If it was all about looks then give me Audi RS6 all day. Now if it was about the interior then give me the Merc C63 AMG. But hold on after a little ....................... I'll take M3 because its all about driving dynamics and pleasure and to me that is the best

RS5s performance is not in range of the competition. The M3 is still the perfect balance between the track and street, but it's starting to look outdated. I would definitely give the C63 a close look, especially with the 6.2 engine.

Excuse me?
In both cases I highlighted in BOLD the one which posted the quickest lap time. Top Gear Track 1:26.50 d 1:27.50 d Hockenheim Short 1:14.00 1:15.30 Autozeitung test track 1:40.10 1:40.70 Balocco 2:55.22 2:56.60 Bedford Autodrome West Circuit (post 06/2008) 1:27.00 1:26.90 Sachsenring 1:40.67 1:40.81 Anglesey National 1:03.90 1:03.80 Fuji Speedway (post 2005) 2:02.90 2:01.80 Millbrook Alpine Hill Route 1:50.90 1:50.65 Ring Knutstrop (Conf 2) 1:15.60 1:13.80 Haute Saintonge 1:04.30 1:04.07 Above are a list of comparisons between the M3 Coupe and the RS5 (M3 figures are in Blue). Now to me it looks like a toss up as to which holds the upper hand in performance but in the off chance you are keeping count it's 5 to the M3 and 6 for the RS5. Now let's look at how well the C63 does against the RS5. (C63 figures are in Red) and in this case it's 2 to the C63 and 4 to the RS5. Hockenheim Short 1:15.20 1:15.30 Autozeitung test track 1:40.00 1:40.70 Balocco 2:57.43 2:56.60 Bedford Autodrome West Circuit (post 06/2008) 1:28.80 1:26.90 Anglesey National 1:05.80 1:03.80 Ring Knutstrop (Conf 2) 1:15.70 1:13.80 Haute Saintonge 1:06.20 1:04.07 I think you can rightly see that the RS5 is perfectly good enough to hold it's own against both of these very good performance cars. |
