That's not an exhaust, that's just pipes and tips. False advertisement.

It's going to be loud AF.

Do the ACM mod. It's the same thing for less money.

sound wise they are identical. Also if weight savings is the biggest motivator, then a muffler shop can make this for a fraction of the cost.

Not exactly. The ACM mod keeps the helmholtz chambers.

Which is preferable.

Its obvious the muffler delete and muffler mod aren't identical, and yes there is weight savings to be had, however the same muffler delete can be made by any local muffler shop for a fraction of the cost and it will still sound just as horrible.

With a stock Xpipe this won't be 'loud'

With test pipes or a HFC xpipe this can get interesting

The hemholtz chambers don't do anything in the ACM mod as you're literally connecting the inlet of the muffler to the tips with solid straight tubing. The entire muffler body at that point is nothing more than dead weight.

The helmholtz chambers are upstream of the bypass sections, so why wouldn't they do anything?

From what I have seen the acm mod bypasses the whole muffler. It basically goes from the connecting pipes to the tips

This is incorrect. The ACM mod is performed after the Heimholtz chambers. The chambers are retained in all versions of the muffler mod.

I guess I'm confused. I thought that was the one that was basically a straight pipe. Way to many versions lol

Wrong ! Check the connection pipes in the Helmholtz chambers nr: 1 & 2 .
This pipes will be replaced by a straight pipe with a bend for the height difference of the holes .
The Helmholtz chambers will not be functional anymore and your exhaust will drone like a mofo at low rpm's ..
