So...my Gatlinburg weekend is actually the weekend of the 11th now. Trying to talk my wife into doing this. She can get car sick, so we are looking at getting her on the patch (Dramamine?). Are you guys going to make reservations and stay at Fontana or somewhere else?

IN answer to the motion sickness question, they make a little Dramamine (spell??) patch that goes behind the ear. You put it on the night before and it is good for like 3 days. My wife has used on boats and airplanes. I'm hoping it works in this case as well. 318 turns in 11 miles will definitely test it! Good point on Voxer and cell signal. I'm pretty sure it has to have one to work. However, I think I pretty much had cell service when I was there...

Another remedy for the motion sickness is take two Dramamine the night before and then one in the morning when you wake up! That way it gets in your system good and you will be good the next day all day! I used to offshore fish a lot and it always worked great for me!
Damn guys... just pick up some cheap 2-way radios! Lol.... trust me, it's so much easier than messing with a phone and when someone talks the entire group can hear! |

I'm almost ready to send out emails. Still working out my hello letter. Definitely going with 2 ways. Only $10 each. And I have no problem buying ten of them and just taking them back at the end of the trip. So far we have four radios from members.

That would be awesome. Eden Crest is the rental company we used. If not them then I'm sure another rental company has cabins on our block in Sevierville TN. The views are amazing. Of course there are other cities and cabins if that's not where you want to be. We did have two bear sightings right by our front door and I'm talking momma and papa bears, not babies. I'll PM you the street we will be staying on. And adding you to the list dmk08.

Count me in.
I will be coming from Highlands NC, two hours east of ToD. Will bring four walkie-talkies to loan. Great idea about sending a scout group out ahead of the fast group. Last year the Three Rivers BMW outing accumulated in the parking lot on the west end of the ToD (by the bridge), They stopped east bound traffic for a few minutes to allow a gap and then sent the M3's off first. We drove at full speed unprotected for several minutes. It would have been good to have some lookouts up ahead.

Hey you guys, seems I'm the noob here. Hunting for the right E92 ZCP is coming to an end. So filling my time with good people and the refreshing sound of M cars, taking over the Smokey Mountains sounds ideal. Truly looking forward to it, the invite is much appreciated.

Frat Star
hahaha is that how you guys haze the noobs? Always a catch to it, a grown up fraternity needing a pledge to be the pace car. With some of the stunning builds coming out, you'll be passing by me soon enough.

Count me in for now. I was planning on going with my buddy that weekend anyway, so it is pure coincidence that there will be so many M's there. I'll probably just come for the day and drive home the evening though.
I'll be in my E92 M3.

Man this is shaping up to be a great time, Boof kudos to you for all the time and effort putting it together. Try as I may I just can't make the logistics work, we fly into Raleigh on the 22nd for Thanksgiving with our kids and extended family. With the flat landscape where I live I have been wanting to do this for awhile now. Another time.
