Can any of you guys post pic of your V1 in relation to where it is in your car? I'm think of getting one but totally clueless as to the install and where to place it, etc.

This guy is the ultimate radar detector/laser jammer user.
Looked to me like the cop was hopping back into his car to chase this guy. He probably did get caught.

I'll take a pic later today. I mounted the main unit above and to the right of the rear view mirror; as far up as I could with the suction cup mount. You can get right below the tint line which is excellent placement. Not the stealthiest, but pretty good plus the best for detection range. I have the remote display on the dash right by the driver A-pillar. The audio and switch unit is right now hanging but I'm working on setting it up in a more inconspicuous yet convenient place. And the same with the remote display. Stay tuned.

Cheers.

A huge number of people I know that have detectors swear by these.. I don't drive to warrant the use of one, but I would purchase one, no doubt, if I needed a detector

This was in my E46, but I will do the same if I get around to hardwiring my '08. I prefer the visor to the windshield, as it is less visible from the outside. The concealed display in the cluster is a little tougher to pull off in the E92! I mounted the remote volume control on the valance to the left and below the steering wheel.
