By the way, when are you guys changing your tires? I am so tempted to install my summer wheels in the next 2-3 weeks. The weather seems pretty nice.

Mid-April will probably be a safer bet; if you put summers on now, it'll snow non-stop 'til May!

What a great February though. I could almost tolerate a Calgary winter like this one every year.

Very impressed with the snow performance of the M3 today. LSD makes a huge difference

Still miss the clutch though.

It wasn't much to be honest; but still made for a slow commute thanks to all the people who panic and drive too slow (or too fast, and crash).

Saturday could be interesting though, forecast says up to 10cm; that's enough to bring Calgary to it's knees..

I'll be there this time, I'm not working on anyone's time anymore except for my own so whenever it is you can count me in!

Man, I really want to install my summers but it keeps snowing every night I'm wanting to pull the trigger!

Crazy 1500HP Chrome Lambo @ ZR Auto (now in showroom):

More pics on website: http://www.zrauto.com/gallery/21/150...-Gallardo.html (shameless plug! haha)

Chrome not to my taste, but man does this thing shout loud! We will be getting some exhaust clips soon; and of course you'll be seeing this on the streets lots in the summer & it will be at the Auto show.

Yup - it's a wrap though; they have just started to offer this service at ZR.

Apparently the chrome wrap is a pita to work with compared to normal wrap.

Hey guys, speaking of winter driving.

Any thoughts on a 2011 335i in the snow with 4 winter tires?
Clearly no LSD so not great but how bad can it be?
I am looking at buying one and i have a winter beater now but i would prefer to use the bmw all year long in Edmonton. Any thoughts or previous experiences?
thanks!

I drove my 335i year-round. On the whole, it worked well in the snow, but icy intersections were a problem to get moving (on Blizzak LM60s).

I only got stuck a few times in deeper snow, but it was easy enough to free without assistance.

Just did the Euro MDM last week, haven't had a chance to play with it a lot, but ECU Program has a promotion to do this for $90 so I used it. Initially after the program was done, my car kept showing "increase battery discharge", so took it back and they reprogrammed the car and no more error. Not too bad for $90.

Nice! Sounds like a great deal. Do you have any power mods on your car?

Mine has been trapped in the garage for over a week thanks to the snow; the back lane has only just started to melt enough to become M3-friendly.

I'm putting 3M film on the hood tomorrow ... front bumper coming off next week for licence plate-hole repair and other minor chip repairs. I fixed the rash on my back wheel .. just have to do one more when I find time, a full polish and the car will be A+++ immaculate. I DIY everything

Then let the mods begin! Oh and summer tires ... d'oh; does it ever end!

Sad to see my old car for sale ... http://www.autotrader.ca/a/BMW/3%20S...howcpo=ShowCPO still looks a beauty... spot the leftover mod evidence

No power mod yet, i still have 1.5 years warranty that I don't want to lose. I might super charge the car when my warranty is over.

You'll feel a nice power bump when you move to Vancouver ... sea level will give you about 10-12% extra over Calgary. That's quite significant.

I'm going to hold off this year on SC; too rich for me. But I think I will get an Evolve tune to fix the throttle (I hate low-speed assist!) and an Exhaust .. that should make it entertaining enough for now.
