VS Motorsports Memorial Day Race Weekend at Grattan Raceway

This past memorial day weekend Kris Von Sydow of VS Motorsports placed 1st in SCCA Double National Race at Grattan raceway. This was his first trip out to the track and was a double race with one Saturday and the other Monday. On Saturday Kris was able to break the track record for T2 class!!!! His time of 1.27.291 is the new record, which broke the previous set in 2008. Kris is very proud of this as it was only his first time at the track and able to accomplish that time. Below is a picture of the two mile course. It definitely is a track we would like to revisit again.

On Monday Kris had a second race with the best weather of the race season so far. It seems each weekend has been cold, cloudy, and rainy. However on Monday it was nice and sunny and ended with another 1st place finish to cap of the weekend.

Kris Von Sydow's next race will be for June Sprints at Road America. He will looking to have another great outing for the National race there. It will be the the weekend of June 17th-19th. The race will be the afternoon on June 19th for those that would like to come out and watch.

(PS don't mind the muddy tires we were paddock in the grass)

NICE JOB!!!! 1st in T2 is pretty sick!!! Post picks and (detailed) info about your race setup please!

Thanks Guys! We did not get many pictures at the Grattan Raceway but we will be sure to get more at the June Sprints.

Our T2 car is built exact to spec. Which means it has to weigh 3500lbs with the driver after the race. We have a weight box full of lead bricks bolted where the passenger seat would normally be to make weight. It Has the the turner springs, turner sway bars, csl headers, and 3.5inch BW exhaust. Strut/shock wise we use a custom set of Moton Triple adjustable that can use the stock size spring and top mount.

Hopefully this year, but if not, next year our E92 M3 will be turned into a T2 car!!!
