Honestly, if the next-gen M3 had the same performance characteristics but got 50 mpg, they'd sell 500k or more.

By the way, just to put it all in prospective the wife GTi gets an average of 31.8mpg. That little 2.0TFSi engine is the easiest drinker (petrol) I have ever owned and is not at all slow.

Steved, how does the figures the guys are getting for the M3 compare to the RS4 or CSL.
