You'll never know the VPC does it, unless a dealer reads the key to confirm. In other words, there is no paper work to let people know the VPC did indeed do it. Not sure if all dealers check, before the run the 1200 miles service back state side.

I got mine done in Europe. It was at a dealer near the Nurburgring. I got fully reimbursed by Steve Thomas BMW. No issues.

My SA is pretty good. He has two M3s himself (an E92 and an E36 track car), and I think he would know if they did it. He also reads my key every time I go in before starting any work. No, I just think you are just mistaken that VPC "always does it" if you are 800+ miles.

I think you are mistaken by quoting me saying the VPC "always does it" I never did.

I said the VPC "will do" it. As in, don't hassle yourself to get it done in Europe, before the VPC even gets a shot at it. Two different things.

Wow, you spin better than a politician. Not sure how else the normal person would interpret the above statement, but if it makes you feel better.

What would make me feel better is if you wouldn't quote me, when I clearly didn't type that. Good day!
