I went with a local dealer, order is in, but he didn't give me a date. No luck getting any info from BMW unfortunately. All I know is that my car was put into a production group, but no one seems to know when that group is supposed to actually be built! :P

Yeah, so far Ryan has only given me a verbal about when it's "supposed" to be built. My production number doesn't show up yet when I check via the site. From what I have read in other threads, it seems that the consensus is that Sept builds prob won't even begin until the end of Sept which just means everything else from there on will be pushed back. I have no doubt that I won't see a car until December. But we can hope!

FYI, just called the 800 number about mine and it also says no production date scheduled. :-(

Last time I ordered a car it went a lot faster and it went from nothing status to scheduled within about 2 weeks, but I didn't order the car during the 1 month shutdown then, either. |

Update:
Just finished talking to my CA and it appears that I now have a new production number. Is this something that happens often? Perhaps they skipped me to a new allocation? Old number: 365XXXX New number: 363XXXX Is smaller better in this case? Checked with the phone system, and this number is also scheduled, but with no production date. |

Mine is 366XXXX and Ryan told me I was in week 41 which is Oct 10-16 which is disappointing but not much I can do.
