Just collected: E92 M3 Alpine Edition
Hi,
Just picked up my E92 M3 Alpine Edition on Friday. No idea how, but mine has no carbon roof and factory fitted sunroof chuffed!! Upgraded from a 6-speed 335i, i must say - the M3 is a different type of car altogether!! Pics: |

Mine has NO carbon roof, which i was questioning the dealer about because it is the first i have seen of its kind - especially considering it has a sunroof which i thought was not even an option on the E92 M3.
It has the DCT gearbox, which, if i am totally honest has not impressed to the extent which i thought it would. For town driving, even with the gear change level set to the lowest the ride can be very jerky. And Park 'P' can only be engaged once the vehicle has been switched off? Any comments on gearbox set-up would be appreciated. I can contact the BMW dealer that i purchased from to ask any questions but have only owned since Friday so still getting used to it tbh. Would like to fit the LCI rear lights but local dealer has quoted just over £600 for parts alone!! |

I've become lazy and I usually drive it in the default D2 mode, and it's certainly not jerky. |

The sun roof is a no-cost option, but extremely rare here in the UK. As for the DCT, I was a lifetime manual trans club member, and it has it's jerky moments, but it's so cool when ragging it hard!

Hello,
Congrats on the change from the 335 to the M3. Can you tell me what the differences you are finding driving it as i have a 335 and i don't know whether to change up or not?? I really want the M3 for the badge, bodykit, L7 and presence but my 335 with JB4 feels a lot faster when driving, any advice?? thanks Lee |
