Role-reversal: Passenger accused of groping TSA agent



A 61-year-old Colorado woman was arrested in Phoenix on charges she groped a Transportation Security Administration airport security screener.

The woman, Yukari Mihamae, allegedly "refused to be go through passenger screening and became argumentative before she squeezed and twisted the agent's breast with both hands," The Associated Press writes.

Police were called to the scene and say Mihamae admitted to grabbing the agent. Authorities say Mihamae continued to argue with officers on the scene, and was eventually arrested. She now faces a felony count of sexual abuse.

MyFoxPhoenix describes Mihamae as a "self-employed businesswoman," adding she was released from custody on Friday.

The incident happened at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport on Thursday, but the story has been picking up steam over the weekend -- perhaps because of the twist on the more usual reports in which passengers are the ones accusing TSA agents.

Or, as the New York Post puts it, perhaps it's because Mihamae "gave the TSA a taste of its own medicine."

MyFoxPhoenix adds "there's been an outpouring of support for Mihamae, perhaps because the TSA is an agency that people love to hate, especially after receiving lots of criticism lately about their 'invasive' screening procedures."

ABC News picks up on that theme, saying "Facebook groups have already been created to help the alleged breast grabber."

The TSA, however, responded with a statement to ABC 7 News of Denver saying: "TSA officers work every day to protect the traveling public, and the agency will not tolerate assaults against its workforce."

You know, theres logic behind that. Terrorists will never blow up their own muslim airline, so if you fly, fly Emirates or Etihad, which by the way are taking over the world, and you will be SAFE.

or maybe the pilots could just make up their own arabic names for the pre-flight PA. that would be double jeopardy though...then the predominantly non-terrorist pax would start freaking out.

the TSA person was probably a f*cktard---its that same bottom rung of society where you have cops, customs officers, and other assorted govt. officials w/ no job prospects leaching off of society. i used to travel a lot in a prior job, and was continually amazed at how low the bar is w/ these scumbags.

and as for flying emirates, its pretty awesome (best economy experience i've ever had--too bad its only long haul international routes). other than virgin, jetblue and SWA, most of the domestic US carriers suck ass.

The kicker is that the lowest rungs of society are purposefully sought out by the government to fill TSA positions. They want pervs and people with low IQ's doing those jobs because it breaks you (the passenger) down all that much more.
