Hi Andrew,

the airbag issue is just a coding problem - BTW our cars in Europe also have the passanger bag sensor, which has to be coded. For the heater you need to do aditional wiring, but do you really need heated seats in Joburg

Hi Ralf

the guys at BMW will sort it out. Like you say, just waiting for codes!

Loving the Akrapovic mate. It's like a new car!

I don't see how that can be a true statement. However, those seats are nice and I would possibly sacrifice comfort for them.

He is telling the truth - I have them for 2 years now, they are much better than stock
Seating position is about 4cm lower, so that you are more one piece with your car.

totally disagree. it is very well defined. if you watch those crash test video, there is no chance of survival if you have no airbag. your face would smash against the steering wheels with the seat belt on. your neck would break.

for side airbag, if someone tbone you, your head will hit the windows on impact. if there is no side airbag, you will have head injury.

bottom line is air bag save lives in majority of cases, but it only work in conjunction with the seat belt on.

for the performance seat, i would just go with recaro sporter CS full black leather and call it a day. save half the price.

Tried that, the mounting rails don't work.

Went with the BMW versions instead

Thats right, the Recaro seats wont work unless you run a BMW mount as well, Recaro are working on it though.
