I think all of you who say "it's just a car" are trying to fool yourself. Can you honestly say you wouldn't be apprehensive if you pulled into a parking lot with small spaces and only saw one opening in between a rusted ford and beautup camry with stickers all over it?

I lease. so I'm good. As long as the dings and dents aren't bigger than that circle they give you (half the size of a cd) before the end of the term, i'm good. Ding away lol. So i drive and park my car everywhere

most people have no clue as you say... even within my family, i have cousins who dont have a clue what an M3 is except that its a bmw... they dont even know if its cheap or expensive... they just think it costs the same as any other car on the road. there are tons of people who dont give a damn when they get a ding on the side of the car so they prob figured a bmw driver wouldnt care either bout little dings.

I also try and park in a corner spot as much as possible.
There is only soo much you can do though. So I try to enjoy the car as much as I can. Just in case something does happen, I also got the ding repair insurance at the dealer (free repairs for dings that don't break the paint) for around $4/month when I bought the car. Hope I never have to use it. |

Shouldnt matter what it is. When I park no matter whats next to me a $500k+ car or a old beat up POS I wouldn't want to hit it because its someone's and I respect it no matter what it is.
