LCI and pre LCI side by side comparison

When I first joined this site I immediately became stricken with mod fever but I could never understand the "big deal" with LCI lights. $600for essentially an all red light?!?! It wasn't until I saw my car next to a LCI equipped car that the difference jumped out at me. So I decided to put the LCI on the left and pre LCI on the right to show what a HUGE difference it is. LCI is modern and the pre LCI reminds me of a car from the 70's. I got these from McKenna BTW (about 15% cheaper than anywhere else). Gil was really helpful as well with some totally unrelated questions I had about wraps.

Yeah, they are easy to install. The one tip I can give you is use a thin flat head screwdriver to pop the plastic rivets on the trunk liner. Put the head between the "screw" and the sleeve. Like an idiot I just tried to pry the screw and sleeve out together. I did not take the trunk liner competely off because I didn't know how to remove the emergency pull handle (when removing the middle lenses). You can pull the liner back enough to remove the middle lense though.

Same here. I always thought the all red look of LCI tails would be too boring for an M car. That is untill I saw it side by side when I took my car to the dealer for an oil change. I will be doing this pretty soon.
